I have had the opportunity of visiting the NDS school and interacting with the students. What was noteworthy was that while I was there, a few students had come to be enrolled from as far away as Meerut. I was amazed to see the ready response of the staff and the eagerness of all students to show me all that they could do with computers. I could see the great joy in all the students, even though there was a space constraint;there was an eagerness to learn. NDS needs more staff and space tp realise its goals of education and recruitment to all those that come to them.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The dedication and faith of the staff and Director.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Selfless in their mission.
Ways to make it better...
I could in some way be associated on a regular basis.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Space constraint. NDS is at present working out of 2 premises that are not enough for the large and growing number of students.
One thing I'd also say is that...
The dedication of the Director is inspiring. She dons many hats and doubles up as office assistance, staff member, event organiser....

In my experience of being associated with the development sector for close to 9 years now, I have come across organizations, with a heart, with a vision& teams that work hard to realize their dreams. While Noida Deaf Society has all of this, it has another unique gift, which I have hardly come across in any other organization- & that is a soul! It is gifted with a zeal, a spirit that makes it a go- getter& is blessed with a team (including the Head of the organization) that has its core values intact! A rare combination of grit& compassion& that is what Noida Deaf Society is!
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the changes in the youth associated with them- the quality of training& efforts of the team have helped many deaf youth find employment opportunities
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Mobilize resources so that they can hire more people& reach out to many more deaf youth, who need them

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the positive energy level of everybody associated with them
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Self motivated, with a single focus of supporting deaf youth, so that they can avail opportunities in life
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
diversify the number of courses/training options, hire quality trainers, to many more, thus building bridges for many more dreams of youth. Provide sponsorships, build a bigger centre, which will be a hub for many more opportunities
Ways to make it better...
I would be a full- time team member
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Financial constraints& thereby unable to do more, for the benefit of more youth
One thing I'd also say is that...
Noida Deaf Society is a dream come true for many young minds

After an episode interaction with the aspirants at NDS, I could not stop myself to stretch my work hours & spend good learning times there. The best part about the NDS topology is the knowledge ravenous environment, which gives a teacher like me an ideal classroom to coach & share your expertise to the limit. I remember an incidence of last month when we (me & my students) were absorbed in a session where we were trying to understand the motherboard & different slots which are there on board. And out interpreter went missing for some cause, & to our surprise after a while we were interacting absolutely without any flaw in understanding (Provided : I don’t have any expertise in sign language). I am not sure what should I call it telepathy or understanding but it was a great experience when we realized that we were actually talking without an interpreter. A humble (constructive) feedback to the org would be increasing the already prevailing exposure to new grounds, where these kids can be deployed & make a success story. I see these kids are high in motivation & zeal, they require our support & guidance, there are no challenges that I can see they cannot meet. I have been to other NGOs before however this one has that ability & environment to win. My God Bless them all…

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
They were excellent councellors, as I saw them interacting with the guardians of the aspirants & making sure that their learning doesn’t get a hit because of any social huddle.

My experience with Noida Deaf Society (NDS) is great and full of learning. I am responsible to conduct the test for MS Office and Internet. It gives me great honor to work with the people of NDS. They are truly dedicated and self-motivated people. I always feel proud to work for these deaf students who are not less than any human being. Actually they are perfect; we need to learn to communicate with them. NDS team is doing a great job not only by training the deaf youth but also by giving them employment opportunities in well-known companies. In the last batch of MS Office and Internet, 43 students have completed the course. Some of them will go for advance course and some of them got placement. I again like to congratulate NDS and all its team member for their great work and dedication towards deaf youth and society.
