I truly regret supporting this organization with my time and a significant amount of money. (2005 - 2012)
Beyond the post-Katrina matter of 2005, five years later, (2012) the Noah's Wish Board of Directors and the Chief Operating Officer continued to engage in practices I found to be of great concern. I do not believe I was alone in this observation, and was not suprised when many highly experienced Disaster Coordinators, after many years of volunteer service, quickly ended their affiliation with Noah's Wish or that Noah's Wish did not respond AT ALL to most of the major disasters of 2012.
On multiple occasions, I attempted to offer continued financial support and report problems to Noah's Wish via the Chief Operating Officer as well as the Board of Directors and was treated in a dismissive and cursory manner.
Also, don't look to Facebook to see if there is any negative remark or criticism of Noah's Wish. I was blocked from the Noah's Wish Facebook Page for asking questions of their practices.

Noah's Wish seems to be completely inactive so far - no scheduled trainings for 2013 and no disaster response thus far. I would donate else where.

Noah's Wish had many trouble in 2005 due to Board inadequacies mostly - they allowed their Director to pilfer funds and claimed they had no idea it was going on...but if they did their job they would have known. The Director was mildly punished but the BoD should have been as well. 2 of the original Board members of that time still remain on the board today and that is just ludicrous! They have lost and/or fired good key people in the last 12 months that have kept the organization going - certainly with no help from the Board. The B0D is narrowing their focus tremendously as they continue to dupe more unsuspecting volunteers who continue to take the volunteer training...really very wrong. Noah's Wish does not respond to any disasters that take longer than a "day trip" drive to get to - or takes more than a single phone call to get invited in. The ydo not spend designated funds whre hey need to be used to up hold their mission. Currently the organization support 2 Board members who have harassed the volunteers or show up to meeting/disasters under the influence.

A great animal support organization. They put on free training seminars in Los Angeles this year that really helps you prepare for and save your animals during disasters.

This charity is perfectly legit - the previous review was written by a disgruntled person that was let go from the organization for causing strife among the volunteers. This is her petty way of "getting even".
