I have been working with No Limits as a volunteer for about 9 years and recently joined the Board. This such an amazing organization with phenomenal results!! I have watched hundreds of kids learn how to express themselves verbally, build confidence in their abilities, improve their grades at school and go to college. The family involvement is unparalleled. I am so proud to be a part of No Limits!!

NoLimits is an inspiration to the many students at UCLA and to me to help children with profound or complete hearing loss. Kids who are helped by NoLimits have an excellent chance at accomplishing their goals despite their challenging circumstances. Speech and language delay is the major problem facing youth in America today, and NoLimits serves those who are among the most susceptible to those communicative learning problems.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing the major improvements in children's learning of speech in a short period of time, on a level once thought impossible by physicians and language experts!

No Limits provides a wonderful service to hearing impaired children in the Los Angeles Unified School District. The program gives confidence and great speech skills to students who are underserved in public schools. The No Limits performances are very imaginative and uplifting. The theater and speech program is truly a labor of love for its founder and staff.

I spent 15 years as director of a charitable foundation named Hope for Hearing Foundation; which is no longer in existence.
Our purpose was to fund organizations which helped hearing impaired children to learn to speak and to listen and HEAR so they can live in this hearing world with less difficulty in communicating.
We funded a school called Oral Education Center - now Horizon School in Culver City CA for 25 years. When No Limits Theater Group, Inc was founded our Board of Directors were very happy with the work Michelle Christie Adams was doing with children. She was successfully working to reduce shyness and introversion in these hard of hearing children through the art of theater.
The children blossomed greatly and it was with great satisfaction for our Foundation to be able to help then with funds. Michelle was always forthcoming in providing information about the children, we were all invited to visit at any time and to the special events and productions that were produced.
Michelle is a very talented teacher, dedicated to helping these children, and she has made a big difference in the lives of all those who matriculated through her program. She is brilliant in surrounding herself and bringing to the program others who are successful teachers in this field.
I am happy to write this review and if you have any questions I would be happy to be contacted with questions.

I have witnessed the growth and blossoming of these children for many years and it is very heartening to see a formerly shy boy now who is a pilot and successful young man, as an example. I have witnessed many children grow through the learning process.

Give No Limits Theater group an opportunity to grow and spread the word about this unique and sensible method of teaching children to become more confident and capable of communicating in the modern world. Hope for Hearing Foundation is no longer in existence but if it were No Limits would definitely still be an organization we would fund in the future.

What is unique about this organization?
Theater as a medium for teaching hearing impaired children learn to speak and BE in the world as a successful individual. There have been many schools and methods for working with these children for many years, but this is unique - successful - positive - and a delight in addition.

My daughter has participated in a No Limits production twice and both experiences have been wholly positive. The confidence she gained from being part of these productions has continued to resonate years later. The staff members were incredibly supportive, patient and did a wonderful job navigating challenges. After 3 weeks of hard work, the children presented wonderful performances that were as entertaining as they were inspiring!

From the beginning of my involvement, No Limits has proven itself over and over to be absolutely committed to its mission of helping deaf and hard of hearing children.
As a person with a profound hearing loss I have seen the same passion in many organization but what sets No Limits apart are its methods. I admit I never would have thought that teaching children to perform in plays would be an effective way to teach them speech. Not only that, it teaches the children how to overcome anxiety, shyness, and many other variables by asking them to perform before large audiences.
I wish I had No Limits when I was a child. I would have learned at an earlier age what I was forced to learn as an adult - I would have had a head start.

This is an amazing organization, one that I wish I had when I was a child. As a child with a severe hearing impairment, I started dancing when I was 10 years old and it became as important as school as it helped me develop self esteem, physical fitness and sharpened my cognitive skills as well.
No Limits does something that school can't do - it gives children a voice, a passion and confidence, it enhances social skills and increases neurobiological stimulation through movement and creative thought.
