I've been on the board of Next Generation Choices for over 10 years and am amazed at the impact the org has made in getting the conversation going about the fact that getting cancer is not a given. That the choices we make in our lifestyle and how we treat our environment can greatly reduce our chances of getting cancer. I wholly support their mission and the org is extremely efficient with the small funds they receive. I hope more people appreciate how Bill is using social media to inform people of the multiple values of preventing over curing cancer.

Part of Less Cancer's strategy is the the "Power of Collaboration" and the idea of strength in numbers. Being part of Less Cancer's Facebook community really keeps me informed of current news within the organization and aware of upcoming events and lectures. It also allows me to see other members' comments and ideas, adding to the sense of community within the organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

recruiting friends and family to join the Less Cancer and then seeing them recruit friends and family memebers to join.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

motivated and informed.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

start annual fund-raising events, such as concerts or community gatherings, to continue with raising awareness.

Next Generation Choices is a unique organization in a number of ways. Instead of working the cancer problem from the side of consequences, they are working the problem at the roots. What is causing the incredible cancer issue in our world? What choices (or Next Generation Choices) can we make that will prevent this problem for our children's children? I have a friend who once explained that there are three ways to die: old age, car wreck, or cancer. That's an unfortunate reality. Cancer should not be expected in our families. Next Generation Choices has created an impressive group of leaders who are looking at the cancer issue from scientific and social perspectives. They are thoughtully working the problem in a way that doesn't garner enough national attention -- but could ultimately make the difference.

Next Generation's "Less Cancer" facebook presence helps keep me, my friends and family informed about how we can prevent cancers and about events that may affect how much cancer develops in the future. I have highly recommended them to my friends and family.

The Great!

I have donated time and money towards Less Cancer, a division of Next Generation Choices Foundation. They work tirelessly to support and design programs and inform people on the environmental causes of Cancer. The programs I have personally been involved with have been in my field as a Health and Nutrition Coach. I join Less Cancer in supporting local and sustainable organic farming and methods, and have collaborated on information videos to bring this message to the others. I have also attended some of their public programs with Dr. Donovan of U. Pittsburgh Center for Environmental Oncology, a well known expert in cancer prevention and environmental toxins.
