Bo completed her Masters Project on Musical Linguistics for 3rd graders and has begun to work with the California Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's support. NEO, Inc. became a Community Partner. Programs served children, childcare workers, and classroom teachers.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Build the board and fine 8 more schools to work with in the San Fernando Valley for 2014-2016 or 2016-2018 to begin launching new teachers and serving a goal of 10 Elementary Schools and/or 2000 children in the 3rd District in LA County.

"Songs as sweet as chocolate. Programs based on brain research and the wonder of childhood as expressed through gorgeous rhymes and rhythms. Ongoing love of learning, practice, practicality, and persistence." "Working to lower Californian water usage by millions of gallons by linking long term memory, mindful awareness and the arts to English speakers, students and family through the love of words and music" "Making our riverbank memorable one drip at a time."

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching children respond with all their hearts and spontaneously dance, jump, read and sing.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give it it's bus and support its work with LADWP, the Economic Alliance, LAUSD, and other agencies.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The impact its had on its audiences.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Kind, professional, and talented.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Make a model that combines arts, science, and inquiry and link kids, parents and teachers to affordable scalable solutions for healthier schools, communities, job and school readiness. Improve core resiliency in tough times while improving test scores.

Ways to make it better...

The program had found a more regular funding source to provide for a seasonal calendared set of regional and specific tour dates and the LEA contracts to serve more schools.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Field research, innovative program, and SES Title one cuts. It has volunteered and so it hasn't been on the list for large donations yet. As a young award winning nonprofit venture, it still needs a backbone of support & needs to build Mindspan Members.

One thing I'd also say is that...

That learning how to learn is part of bringing generations into our culture now and making our country stronger, happier, healthier, and more employable/competitive no matter where one is starting with reading, words, performance, or studying.

I like seeing the kids light up. Bill and Bo work magic in the children, drawing them into the event, singing or dancing. I like the expressions on the Moms and Dads watching their kids.

I am a volunteer working with English- challenged children. I've seen how the New Education Options program brings kids to life and stimulates them to find their own reasons to learn English.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Hearing a roomfull of kids belt out a song with challenging English words and intricate rhythms with a minimum of coaching. Their love of the song opened pathways to the brain that otherwise would have been closed.

Consistently excellent theater. Well directed and produced plays with great actors ,sets, lighting. I am a season subscriber and normally see 5 plays a season. Recently saw "The Vertical Hour". It was a bit long and "talky" but I found it thought provoking and topical.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

attending plays
