New Directions Community Outreach is a wonderful organization that helps struggling individuals and families in the Orlando area. They strive to strengthen the community by not only helping those in need, but by getting the whole community involved. I recently volunteered with NDCO and cannot express how appreciative they were of my time. It was great to feel so valued by their organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Organizing a group of volunteers to assist NDCO in a recent fundraiser

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Provide more funding and exposure to help them expand

I myself have never been homeless or had to struggle beyond the day to day responsibilities taking care of myself and my daughter. However, growing up in New York I have seen my share of homelessness, poverty and starvation. NDCO truly cares about the long suffering of the people in our community. If they need food, clothing, a way to access government programs, school supplies, money for their electric bills or to pay their rent to stop potential homelessness, NDCO is there and I am happy to be a part of that.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Learning the different ways in which I can prepare for and seek help during the times of economic strife which trigger homelessness and poverty

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make it more prevalent in our society and increase the amount of available funding for its good work.
