Results: We offer an integrated care model, providing a team of in-house medical, behavioral health, social care, and pharmacy professionals to coordinate member care, and partner with more than 20,000 primary care providers, specialists, hospitals, and community organizations across Massachusetts.
We earned National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) “Excellent” Health Plan Accreditation, NCQA’s highest accreditation rating, for our Network Health Together plan. Since 2010, we have been ranked a top-10 Medicaid health plan nationally, according to NCQA's Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Rankings. Additionally, we are nationally recognized for our innovative programs, garnering a Case In Point Platinum Award for Best Overall Case/Care Management Program from Dorland Health, and for having the Top Leadership Team among health plans nationally from HealthLeaders Media.
Programs: Operating as a nonprofit, we are one of six organizations contracted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to serve a portion of our state’s Medicaid and Medical Security Program population. We offer three health plans: Network Health Together® (our MassHealth plan), Network Health Forward® (our Commonwealth Care plan), and Network Health Extend™ (our Medical Security plan).

I only had Network Health for about a year or a year and a half. I had only previously had health insurance in college, so the experience was pretty new for me. I also started Network Health when the mandate for having insurance in MA began, so I feel like everyone involved was learning the new system. Despite this I do feel like everyone on my primary care "team" was informative, listened to my concerns and was helpful in general. I think I switched from Network Health at the end of 2008, because I had a cheaper plan that was for people under 25 and I was about to age out. (I'm not sure if this has changed.) To be honest, at the next price point up that I had to choose from I could not find a demonstrable difference between the 3 or 4 main plans offered to me through Commonwealth Care Connector so I decided to try a different plan, Harvard Pilgrim, which also seems adequate, though not amazing.
