Mission: Our mission is: Serving immediate needs. Supporting long-term solutions. Our vision is: Strong, self-sufficient Native American communities.
Results: Our impact is clearly documented in our annual report, effectiveness report, partner and participant stories, and news coverage in our press room at www.nrcprograms.org.
Target demographics: NRC serves remote and isolated reservation communities that are struggling economically but striving to be self-sufficient. To learn more about where we work and how, visit www.nrcprograms.org/site/PageNavigator/howwework.
Direct beneficiaries per year: NRC maintains partnerships with more than 1,000 reservation partners and, working together, we assist 250,000 Native Americans each year.
Geographic areas served: NRC serves 65 American Indian reservations across 11 states in the Northern Plains and Southwest
Programs: NRC's support is designed to fit the diverse needs of reservation communities. Over 70% of donations go toward programs. We focus primarily on: 1) Health & Wellness to counterbalance the necessity of crisis-focused healthcare by the Indian Health Service, and to support community-based initiatives for prevention, detection, wellness, education, and healthy life choices; 2) Food & Water to trim back the predominance of food insecurity and contaminated water, and to offset nutrition-related health risks by providing a variety of fresh, staple, and frozen foods and bottled water; 3) Scholarships & Education Services to create more opportunities for Native American students to complete high school and access college degrees or professional credentials; and 4) Emergency Services as first responders to environmental disasters, and to reduce risk related to winter, summer, housing, isolation, remoteness, lack of access, and lack of transportation. In addition, NRC provides Holiday support to alleviate stress on many Native famlies, and we provide Community support through animal welfare and other initiatives that bring elders and others out of isolation and working together. Our work is funded through our eight programs: AIEF, AIRC, CIN, SNRF, SWIRC, NAA, NRF and ROAR.

We have worked with NRC as a transportation provider and they are a great partner to have. They are always willing to go the extra mile if problems arise to make sure our drivers will get loaded or unloaded in a timely manner. We know that we can rely on NRC for anything and vice-versa. Those relationships are only able to be built when you have good people working at your company. I would work with NRC all the time if it allowed itself.

The Shiprock Office of Dine' Youth has partnered with the National Relief Charities for several years in meeting the needs of the community, youth, and families. NRC works diligently in providing our program supplies to be disseminated to those in need. When working with the community at-large, you often come across individuals who are in need of support or who momentarily is in need. Most often, the recipient/participant is very appreciative of receiving supplies/items that contributes to their over-all being. Knowing that resources, such as NRC is available helps us in our continued efforts in working with our fellow people. Thank you, NRC.

Good day,I have worked with, supported, and helped NRC for the past 20 years.I first met them when they called and asked if I would be willing to haul fruit trees to Mountment,Az on my produce trucks for them.NRC planted over 200 trees to help beautify the area, and help the elderly people with shade.
since then, I have been part of their food and non-foods,systems.For the past 20 plus years, they have supplied food for every day needs, food boxes for the elderly, shut ins on the Navajo and Hopi Reservations, plus they have helped the Zuni Reservations, plus Arzona and California Tribes.
NRC has supplied ofer 200,000 meals for Christmas,Easter,Thanksgiving dinners.
NRC,is a great bunch of people, and are top notched, looking to help the partners in their area.

I have worked with National Relief Charities for several years now transporting product to their locations in Arizona and South Dakota. I am very impressed with how much National Relief wants to service its communities. For example, I've received last minute requests because weather or perhaps wildfires has caused a need for supplies quickly; you can tell that this isn't just a job, it's about people.
They try their best to supply what is needed within a timely, cost-effective manner.

National Relief Charities has assisted our program tremendously with the many different items for incentives to be given to our clients. I believe without their support we would not be able to make our program a huge success for our clients. The elderly members within our communities live on a fixed income, so most of the items we give to them is considered of grave support. I am very thankful for everything you all provide for our people. Thank you so very much.

I work for a nonprofit charity in an assisted living home right off of the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Our facility is for Native Americans and is run on donations so the supplies and donations that we receive from the NRC truly help in facilitating our mission. They are very professional and helpful and very consistent in the delivery of our products. The elders even took a field trip to see the warehouse last summer as an outing, It was great to put faces to names and to see the wonderful program close up.

We have been partnering with NRC for two years. We participate in their Literacy Program. All staff are professional, caring, and attentive. NRC has helped hundreds of families in our community with household supplies, food items, children's toys, and many other goodies. Our students are always very eager for the next delivery of goodies for our Literacy Program. Our community is a poor community and the help NRC provides us is greatly appreciated.

I partner with the National Relief Charities out of Rapid City, SD and they have by far exceeded my expectations. The organization is run very professionally and smoothly. The personnel are outstanding and maintain good communication. My questions and concerns are always answered in a timely, efficient, and pleasant manner.
All the products, supplies, and books we receive are very useful to the students and their families.
The Thanksgiving and Christmas programs are wonderful for our families especially the Elders.
I look forward to many more years of this positive partnership.
Thank you to all the NRC staff and the donors!

For several years now, NRC have helped the members in our community with the items they provide. We provide health education to the homebound and elderly. The NRC staff have always been courteous, professional and the drivers are like family. There hasn't been one time when any of the staff at NRC made me feel like I was just another customer. They take the time to answer questions, get your information and follow up on deliveries with you. When I talk to one of them, I know I am talking to a friend. Their services are really appreciated by our community members and when we give out the stockings for Christmas, it is priceless to see the faces light up, not only on the children, but the elders as well when our Santa hands it to them. Thanks to NRC, we know we can help when help is needed. Thank you to all the NRC staff and the donors!
