From my introduction to this organization in 1995 till today as a member of the leadership council, the education and care I have received from this organization far exceeded my expectations. There are many many fine organizations that tackle oppression in one form or another, but to my knowledge no other organization has put the intersection of oppressions at the very heart of their political analysis, nor taken such a fundamentally systemic approach to what is usually understood to be a concern of individual pathology. Great care is taken to steward the organizational resources in order to fulfill their charter of putting on an annual conference on Men & Masculinity.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the opportunity to apprentice myself to people who are doing this work full-time year-round. I contribute in person a bit more than ten days out of the year, and I value those ten days more than I can say.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
professors, therapists, advocates, front-line service providers.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
have one or more people working full-time throughout the year. It could become an umbrella organization for a variety of smaller organizations with parallel concerns. It could serve as a clearinghouse for the best thinking on the issues of oppression.
