I was a General Member of the Public & over 20 years, I attended annual summer institute about 8 times, taught a class at one, was on the board for a couple of years

Every time I go to Institute, I feel like I have come home. The atmosphere is welcoming, old friends pick up where we left off, new friends become part of the magic, the courses are amazing, the discussions at mealtimes are energizing, and I never want the week to end. I imagine it's like living in a shtel that appears once a year out of the mists, like the great musical, Brigadoon, only to disappear again, leaving me waiting for next year.
The Great!
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The people! Here, no-one talks about what they do or have, but about ideas and ideals. This is the most open and inclusive group I have ever experienced.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Publicize itself more.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Getting the word out to their target audience.
