I had the pleasure of speaking with the director of NAIDW on a few different occasions. He is a kind and caring person who started this organization for the benefit of others who have been injured, disabled, etc.

NAIDW is a growing nonprofit that is there to service those who are in
the same rough situations I have been in. through my illness. The problem with other sites is that the information and resources for people off work due to an injury or disability isnt easy to find. With the services and information provided by NAIDW, it makes resources and support easy to find, all in one great social site.

Ive experienced this organizations kind and caring manner. Most everyone I have encountered during my time on the site have been good listeners, and have shared experiences. People at NAIDW are HELPFUL, and SUPPORTIVE. Its always good to know there are others who have " Been there".

I was first introduced to the NAIDW while researching how best to re-apply for SSI Benefits for my Wife, a diabetic.

I had heard that there were recent changes in the Disability laws that now favor those affected by diabetes, so I sent an email to the NAIDW and no sooner did I blink, and
I go a personal response from the President of the Foundation! He directed me to the Website where I not only found answers to my questions, ut a GREAT support network as well.

I HIGHLY suggest anyone that needs this type of information, and much much more, visit http://www.naidw.org/ NOW!

I also have joined some of the numerous Groups on the Site directly related to illness & injury that I endure.

After spending a great deal of time on the Site, I see NO changes I would make as everything offered is not only FREE, but very easy to navigate!

I am an injured and now disabled worker. I rolled an 18 wheeler and damage discs in my neck and back, now suffer with Chronic pain, sciatica, lower back pain, chronic pain in neck, and pain down both my left arm and leg.

Being on this site lets me know that i am not alone in what i am
going through. Everyone has a helpful hint at getting you through the tough times. To let you know what you should do and what you should have your dr's do for you to help you.

There is not a lot that i can say that is bad with this site, except i know there are ways that this site needs help monetarily wise. I would love to see this site become the only site that Injured and Disabled workers would come.

I like the fact that they want this to be run by the Injured and Disabled workers. That way they all have the passion to put their hearts into it.

I have personally experienced a feeling of not being alone in what i am going through. Without this site, the people who run it, and the members that enjoy it, i would have felt even more alone, and even more depressed.

Do a little work on the chat pages. They should fit within the screen without having to scroll up to see peoples names. Second, I have found with the drop boxes when you put your cursor over the items in the list, parts of the second box that shows the subtitles to the main title have a letter to 3 letters missing in the front of the subtitle.

My husband was injured at work 26 months ago. Up until a week ago I felt as if we were paving this road by ourselves...then I happened to find this group. WOW...what a wealth of information! Everyone that I have spoke to has been kind, helpful and generous with their time to answer any and all questions that I have had! I wish I would have had NAIDW on my side since day 1!!!

The only changes I can even think of is letting more injured workers and their families know about it! I would love to have each state be required to send information about NAIDW with each "We are sorry to hear about your injury, welcome to the Workers' Compensation system" letter that is sent out!

This is a great organization which fights for injured people all over the United States. Jon Arbay the CEO is a great guy, who is an injured worker himself. I myself have RSD Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy since 2008 from a work related injury. This organization will eventually be based in every state. I was recently named the director of the state of New York. This is startup organization which main focus in to let people know the services out there for the injured worker. I am happy to be a part of this organization as a director and a advocate for disabled people everywhere, especially in NY

I was introduced to this site by my neighbor whom is an injured worker. I have learned through his experiences just how difficult it is for them to get the information, support and resources to recover physically, emotionally and financially from the devastating effects of being injured on the job. The injured worker and their family are basically left to manuever their way through the red tape to get the assistance and support that is needed and due to them. This site is the guide for you. It leads you to the resources that are out there for you. It also provides a social support and networking forum where injured workers and their families can lean on one another. This is critical in the emotional recovery; you are not alone. This site also sheds light for those of us who have not experienced this first hand; you can read the stories of injured workers all over and their plight for basic survival. This site has definitely filled a critical need in the injured workers ability to fully recover.

The Great!

I have personally experienced the results of this organization through the recovery process of my neighbor and his family. I have watched their struggles to get needed medical care and financial stability during this time.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would like to see it expanded. There is such a need nation-wide to take care of the thousands of men and women out there who want to work, but can't because they did not get the proper care and support when their injury first occurred and are now looking at a lifetime of disability and feelings of worthlessness.

I am a big supporter of the The national association of injured and disable workers. I have friends that got injured on the job, and ended up without any help or support from the employer or the goverment. The employers are fighting the injured workers with everything they have. They have powerful attorneys and deep pockets to defend themselves. We need to stand by the weak and support humanity.
