I've seen first hand how the mission of Mustard Seed is carried out in Haiti. The directors of the program pray, plan and dream along with the Haitian organizers of the clinics and programs that take place. The primary criterion for any project is that it fit the culture and lifestyle of the Haitian people. There is no waste of donated resources, material or human, nor is there waste of time or opportunity. Projects and clinics are scheduled so that a team can move from one to the next with no "down time".
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Returning to see patients who have received surgeries and other services, now functional. Growth in the Haitian partners' lives.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Compile a "volunteer handbook" so that all participants have a hard copy expression of the expectations for degree of invovlement of each participant.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Thge joy shared within the group
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Staff are godly people dedicated to making the most of each project and opportunity.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
bring a new standard of health and wellness to the entire nation of Haiti
Ways to make it better...
all volunteers were committed to serving all they could in any way they could
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
masintaining a vision that is specific and focused while being wide enough to be flexible and creative.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Leadership is determined to foolow the guidance of our God.
