MAPS may be one of the most important medical nonprofit organizations in existence. It is dedicated to pushing science and medicine to new heights and challenges society to think a little more outside the box.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my own life just by attending talks given by Rick Doblin and reading the numerous articles on their website.

bring about the greatest change and improvement to medicine since modern surgery.

MAPS is leading the way into the future of psycho-medical treatments with relevant and coherent psychedelic research that can be scientifically proven and empirically validated. Funded as a non-profit organisation and backed by a highly qualified and dedicated team of fellow human beings - all of whom are compassionate and understanding towards people undergoing P.T.S., psychological distress from terminal illnesses, migraines, and other debilitating ailments - they do their utmost to ensure that anyone undergoing a psychological affliction is given every chance to re-intergrate back into a healthy and vibrant mode of living without being crippled or impaired by unnecessary and prolonged medical treatments. Without this essential work into the psychological benefits of psychedelics, modern medicine may well linger far too long in a false Cartesian dualistic understanding of mind and body: one that sees these two essences of a human being as discreetly separate from one another, to be treated independently of each other... Rather than seeing a more accurate representation of the mind and body as monism than heals itself interdependently. This is probably the most important medical research being conducted in our time. MAPS needs you... And, believe it or not, you need MAPS! So donate today and support the future of this sustainable and highly effective medical treatment... Wake up and see it all for what it really is... The key to our well Being!

MAPS is a wonderful, wonderful organization. Psychedelics are often looked down upon because they are illegal and the public is widely misinformed. However, this never stops MAPS. They believe in their mission and go for it no matter what. Their research has the ability to help so many people and I truly, truly value it. I can't wait to be a part of this organization - in whatever way possible.

MAPS has changed my life and others in countless ways. I love it's mission, and I love it's people. Without it, the world would be without vital information about substances that millions of people ingest. It is also opening new doors for people to help them treat conditions that standard medication has been unable to help. Please support MAPS today for a better future!

MAPS has provided myself and the world with countless amounts of information about the effects of entheogens. This has helped me educate myself and others of the negative and positive effects of entheogens.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would expand it to have more than just one office in California.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Being able to help at their conference. It amazing to meet all of the faces of the people who were working together to change the perspective of society.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

So friendly and open. Like I said before, I love MAPS and love the people involved with MAPS.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help people with treatment resistant PTSD let go of their fear and lead a normal life, let terminally ill people let go of their fear of dying, and help cure people of their physical addiction to drugs.

Ways to make it better...

I cannot think of a way that the experience working with these people COULD have been better. They are truly amazing.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Lack of money and support. I'm sure it's hard for many people to understand why we want to use entheogens for medical reasons. Hopefully, with good data though, that can change.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I believe fully in the mission of MAPS. Slowly but surely, we will change the perception of the world and help those who could benefit from the treatments that entheogens offer.

Changing the perception of psychedelics among the general population and, indeed, the elistes of industry and science is an uphill battle - one made all the harder by negative media coverage, ignorance, religious demonisation and the ill's of addictive narcotics lumped in with psychedelics. MAPS does an exemplary job at trying to inform the public through open testing and research, sharing their knowledge with the general public. Long may they prosper, they do fantastic work which is often misunderstood and marginalised because of it's controversial stance. It should be remembered that psychedelics are non-addictive, non-destructive substances - not to be confused with pharmaceuticals, crack, coke, meth and the litany of other drugs which girl pharmacopia a bad name.

MAPS is the leading organization for the leading cause of all humanity at this day and age. Without work into the psychological benefits of psychedelics, humanity is at a serious disadvantage. This is the most important research of our time and other than MAPS the only people getting involved are completely in the underground. MAPS is in great need of support and the world is in great need of MAPS. This work is urgent, this work is essential, this work is done by MAPS. Great organization, great cause, not so great funding. Please show the insight that our government lacks, the inherent value of psychedelics in the post-modern era.

The MAPS organization has made significant strides in restoring respectability to the use of entheogenic compounds for the alleviation of human suffering. Thanks to the efforts of its top-notch staff, scientific research is once again being sponsored in this field after four decades of reactionary prohibition. The "Psychedelic Science in the 21st Century" conference they recently sponsored in April received supportive worldwide coverage that included CNN, the BBC and the front page of the New York Times. Founder Rick Doblin has taken a noble idea and, with a lot of hard work, brought it to a state of fruition that can benefit people’s lives in a practical and humanitarian way. He has shown us a glimmer of hope for a new age, in a world that otherwise seems to be slowly sinking into chaos. I'm proud to be a part of it.

This group is doing more to help the world that any other organization anywhere. By challenging the common lack of understanding, we will soon be able to use medicine to keep our hearts, minds, and spirits engaged with the beauty of the earth. In a world of ignorance, it is nice to find a candle to light up a corner in a very dark room.

Thus far I have only been able to help MAPS monetarily, but the information that they have provided me with has been invaluable. I am a professional in the medical field, and I, like many of my colleagues, believe whole heartedly in the potential of psychedelic science to cure disease and enrich lives. MAPS is a well run, forward thinking organization that deserves whole-hearted support.

The Great!

Volunteering at Psychedelic Science in the 21st century was a life changing experience for me in many ways. MAPS and it's supporters are truly dedicated to integrity and healing in individuals as well as in our entire society and culture.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

finding an outlet where I can pool my talents with others to work towards a future where priceless healing tools can once again be respected in western culture, and watching people's opinions change.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

It seems to me that MAPS has been doing an excellent job, they do an incredible amount of work with a small office and staff.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Some of the most intelligent, motivated and loving people I have ever met. All at the very edge of revolutionary modern research

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

give severely traumatized people back their lives; have the best shot out of any organization I know of truly changing the world.

Ways to make it better...

it was amazing! would just love the opportunity to work with MAPS more often!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Paradigms of altered consciousness and psychedelic chemicals - our culture is one of few throughout history that has placed them in a category as taboo, in and of itself causing these chemicals to become potential problems.
