MOMENTUM TUTORING

I can't begin to tell you the impact that Terri and her great staff have had on our lives. My niece (age 8) and two nephews (age 9 and 16) came to live with us after some family issues made it impossible for them to continue living with their parents. The last few years before they came to live with us their attendance at school was abysmal and this sadly affected their education. My niece was entering the 3rd grade when she began tutoring with Momentum. With the help of Terri and Michelle, we realized that 3rd grade just wasn't the right placement. They helped us make the transition back to 2nd grade and have been there every step of the way. When she began the school year she wasn't even reading at a 1st grade level and could not do simple math (2+3). She's now reading above the 2nd grade level and doing well in math and all of her other subjects. She's feeling confident in school and that I attribute to Terri and Michelle. My 9 year old nephew was in a similar situation. He'd missed at least 1/2 of the last two years of school. He was reading well below grade level and didn't know his multiplication tables although he was entering 4th grade. Terri and Jhann have surpassed our wildest dreams and brought him up to grade level and before 2nd semester started. My other nephew, who is a sophomore in high school, was struggling in all of his subjects and now is getting A's and B's. He could not have done this without Terri and Mallory. The most impressive thing about Momentum from my stand point is that the kids really like going! They are eager to go and happy about being there. That is half the battle. ANY PARENT CAN UNDERSTAND HOW UPSETTING IT IS TO SEE THEIR CHILD STRUGGLING IN SCHOOL&WANT TO HELP IN ANY WAY THEY CAN.MY SON BEGAN TO ATTEND MOMENTUM TOWARDS THE LAST 1/4 OF HIS 1ST GRADE YEAR BEING A FULL YEAR BEHIND IN HIS GRADE LEVEL.I WAS VERY WORRIED&AGONIZED OVER HIM CATCHING UP WITH HIS CLASS.HE WAS ALWAYS SAYING HE HATED SCHOOL&COULDN'T READ,DIDNT EVEN WANT TO TRY.TERRY WAS VERY ENCOURAGING THAT HE COULD IMPROVE THROUGH MOMENTUM.WHEN HE BEGAN 2ND GRADE,TESTING SHOWED THAT HE HAD PROGRESSED MORE THAN TWICE THE AVERAGE STUDENT OVER THE SUMMER.MY SON IS NOW SHOWING EFFORT IN HIS WORK&ACTUALLY EXCITED TO GO TO SCHOOL&TUTORING.WRITING THIS REVIEW ALMOST BRINGS TEARS TO THINK HOW MUCH HE HAS MATURED.ITS ALL VERY EXCITING! My son has been attending Momentum Tutoring since the 1st grade. Colin is now a third grader and has made leaps and bounds with regard to his reading and math skills. We are so fortunate and thankful to have the support from Momentum which allows Colin to have the individual one on one time to allow him more thorough training in areas that require more attention than is allotted in the classroom. Thank you for making the difference for us Momentum!

There are new changes coming to Momentum. There is going to be a Summer School/Camp Program to allow kids to have the best of both worlds! We are looking forward to it this summer!

My Daughter is 7 years old, was struggling with reading when we decided to bring her to Momentum in December of 2010. Since this short period she has had a wonderful tutor!! Her tutor is very attentive to her needs, each day she will ask if there is more we can do. I feel even though I am not there tutoring her I feel very involved. Every time I come in to pick her up her tutor lets me know of her progress. My daughter isn't always super excited to go study but she definitely is excited to go to tutoring. Which is a good thing, she has shown great progress in her confidence level at school, great reports from her teacher and she is know reading in front of the class! Even though I know she still needs some more work, at least I know she's at the right place. Thanks Michelle and Momentum Tutoring:)

Our 12 year old was beginning to struggle in school and needed aditional help. We heard about Momentum and gave it a try. It's been a wonderful experience. Our sons tutor's have been matched to him perfectly. He went from being a "C" student to nothing lower then a "B" and has stayed up at that level. The staff at Momentum care about their students and believe me, our son has responded to that. Scheduling is flexible and the tutoring focus has always been based upon our sons needs, not some schedule. We highly recommend Momentum Tutoring.

I am absolutely in love with Momentum Tutoring. The close relationships I created with my supervisors, fellow volunteers, parents and students is incredible. I am extremely grateful to have had my first job there. It has given me many leadership opportunities which has helped me in college among other things. Just having this job has helped me gain confidence in anything and everything I do. I have gained responsibility and learned the meaning of respect, compassion, and hard work that has helped me in my college life, work life and personal life. I even learned patience which I never thought I could learn.

I have seen great results in how the schedule is distributed each week and promptly. I have seen fantastic results in the resources we have to help tutor the students. I have seen amazing results in many students grades and socially behaviors. Even the way it is runned, is better structured and organized.

change nothing. The way the run this organization to the way Theresa Bozhor and the other volunteers treat each other as well as the students and parents is fantastic!

Yes! I now am apart of an organization called City Year; I give a year of my life to do volunteer service. I work in schools in the city of Manchester, in a 5th grade class room 4 days a week and I mentor and tutor not only kids in my class but in the entire school.

We started using Momentum Tutoring when our youngest son was in 6th grade. We watched Chris struggle with math in the primary grades, but he was never eligible for help through the school district. Unfortunately, children have to fall at least two grade levels behind before they qualify for a resource specialist in the classroom. We had an I.E.P. from 3rd grade through 8th grade, but something was missing from his education plan. One day, the school librarian suggested I call Terri at Momentum Tutoring. She raved about this after school tutoring program. I thanked her and gave Terri a call. This is our 6th year with Momentum Tutoring. Our son is in his junior year in high school, and needs help with more advanced subjects such as Algebra II, Chemistry, and Spanish. Momentum's tutors provide excellent tutoring to all ages, from the primary grades through high school. The tutors are young, bright, enthusiastic, and caring. The tutors are able to connect with the children and teenagers in a way that a parent cannot, especially when it comes to helping with school work. The amazing thing about Momentum Tutoring is how affordable it is. Every child should have access to a private tutor when he needs it, and thanks to Momentum, that tutoring is accessible, affordable, and superior to any other learning centers out there.

MOMENTUM TUTORING IS WONDERFUL. MY SON HAD TROUBLE WITH MATH IN THE 1ST GRADE. WE WOULD STRUGGLE WITH HIM TO DO IT, AND HE WOULD NOT LET US HELP HIM AND IT WOULD BE A BATTLE EVERY NIGHT. WE DECIDED TO GET HIM TUTORED AT MOMENTUM. HE IS NOW IN THE 3RD GRADE AND STILL GOING. HIS MATH HAS GREATLY IMPROVED. HE LOVES GOING THERE AND THEY WILL HELP HIM WITH ANYTHING. I HAVE NOTICE HOW MUCH CONFIDENCE HE HAS NOW AND

I've been employed at momentum tutoring for the last five months and love seeing all the children learn. The students are always eager to come in and work on their daily homework. We have kids that struggle of course, but we are able to help them prosper academically. I'm always pleased when I see their new accomplishments. It reassures me that we, Momentum, do our job. The one thing I wouuld change about Momentum is getting more supplies so tutors can use new ways to teach their students.

Great Job Momentum, We had our meeting with our son's IEP manager and teachers. He is now doing grade level work at A's & B's and his self-esteem is building! You have been a BIG part of the improvement and we want to Thank You! Without Momentum we would be lost.
