I am a fairly new volunteer at Molly's House and have been amazed at the amount of people who do utilize a house like this. Before I started here I had no idea. All the volunteers are so warm and helpful. They lend an ear when someone just needs to talk, take phone messages and dispense mail for the guests. It is a very warm and relaxing atmosphere, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the guests can relax on the patio or porch. Guests also don't have to worry about how many days they can or can't stay, as they would at a hotel, because of the cost. It is close to the hospital so there are no transportation worries. I am very impressed with what Molly's House provides for those who are stressed out over a family medical emergency and how everyone there assists in helping the guests to feel comfortable and "at home". The volunteers are all great, but so is Louise Murtaugh, the executive director and Samantha Kayser, public relations. They have all been wonderful in "showing me the ropes" and also assisting the guests.

Molly's House is a place where families of people in a medical crisis can come to stay. It is a home away from home. Molly's House was the dream of a young girl with a terminal disease. Molly Sharkey and her family travelled around the country for treatment for her leukemia. Many times there was no place other than a hotel to stay., adding to the familly's expense and difficulties. In Molly's diary after her death, detailed plans for a home for families in need to stay in Stuart were found . Her family and the townsfolk worked together to create a beautiful, welcoming home which is well used today. It has been my experience as a volunteer that Molly's House has been filled to overflowing this winter season. People express gratitude that they receive a warm and welcoming place to stay.

The suggested charge to families is only $20 per night. If a family can't afford even this, it is alright. Molly's House is run only on the contributions made by others.

Guests and their families stay during the medical crisis of their family member. They openly express relief and gratitude that such a place as this is available for them.

I would hope that a firm base of constant funding were available for Molly's House. This home is funded strictly on the basis of contributions.

I have been a volunteer at Molly's House since I came to Florida in 2005. I consider Molly's House my most favorite volunteer opportunities.

The people staying at Molly's House tell us over and over that they are extremely grateful to be able to experience the hospitality Molly's House
provides at a time when they are facing a precarious situation within their families. Also, the fact that very often they have the opportunity to communicate with other people in the house who are going through similar situations.

Another comment that is frequently heard is that Molly's House gives them a feeling of a home away from home with so many amenities that are provided for them during their stay. We recently started to offer breakfast in the morning that is so much appreciated by anyone who is rushing out early to see a loved one and very often has very little time to
take care of their own needs.

Over all, we as volunteers, are very proud of the services Molly's House can provide and are happy to be of service as well.

I would not make any changes to this organization, but to continue our work, fund raisers and donations are the basis of it.

Molly's House provides a home away from home to friends and relatives of a person receiving medical care on the Treasure Coast .Many of the folks cannot afford the $20 per night suggested donation and they are not required to pay. Donations from others help make the stay possible for them..

Molly's house strives to make the stay very comfortable and friendly. Continental breakfast is provided and the folks are able to prepare their own meals in the 2 complete kitchens. The guests can enjoy their private room and bath and the outdoor patio area when not visiting their lovd one.

Working at Molly's House is very rewarding. We provide a home away from home. Ou facility is very eye appealing, cost very minimal, and if a client cannot pay, we absolve the cost. Our director, Louise Murtaugh, who won the Woman of Distinquish Award for 2010, has done a lot to bring to the attention of the community, MOLLY'S MISSION", helpng people during a medical crisis.

As a volunteer almost since its inception, I have yet to meet a guest who was not most grateful for having this facility available to them.
Molly's House is a beautiful 'home away from home' with a loving, friendly, comfortable atmosphere.
It is with pleasure that I sing the praises of
Molly's House and those who work to continue to keep Molly's dream alive.

It is a vibrant, successful, working concept designed to help those who are experiencing tough times trying to nurture their loved ones through physical or mental illness. It provides shelter as well as moral support as its residents wrestle with life changing events. Molly's House employeed are dedicated professionals and its volunteers are dedicated helpers and doers. The supporters of Molly's House are some of the nicest and most generous people you could ever want to meet. Molly's House is one of Stuart, Florida's most beautiful ideas ever!
