Reviews for Mojave Environmental Education Consortium
MEEC has provided me with so many opportunities. Not only do they help me with finding unique curriculum for my students but also help to put me in contact with industry professionals (other than myself). They help me bring the real world into my classroom and me to the real world. They have provided me with Place Based Learning opportunities, supplies for my classroom, curriculum, dinner, and networking. Thank you, keep up the good work. I'm telling every teacher I know about MEEC!!! You rock :) and I know because I am a Geologist ;)
MEEC has supported my students and I for many years. My students have learned about solar, wind, hydroelectric, and hydroponics through projects and labs funded by MEEC. The teacher workshops, support, and supplies for teachers are by far the best in the high desert.
MEEC has supported our students in many ways through the years. We have participated in the YELC conference where our students have made a difference in our school environment with the education they have delivered. MEEC comes to our science fair each year with a special award to honor students who have exceptional environmental projects. The solor oven competition is a favorite as well and our students have placed well each year. My favorite event is the Student of the Year award and the teacher of the year award. MEEC is amazing and we hope they are around for a long time to come.

MEEC is the best! They are so professional and generous! I've attended several workshops they've offered for educators and have always been impressed, and enlightened! Samantha takes her job seriously and follows through to provide a positive experience for all.
MEEC is a wonderful organization! Samantha Murray goes out of her way to involve the community in the vast programs offered through MEEC. I am go grateful for all the professional development opportunities and the curriculum provided by this organization that reinforces STEM in my classroom. In addition to professional development, MEEC offers many grants, contests, and additional resources for the classroom and school. Not only are there common core centered projects and activities, the curriculum is relevant and actively engages students in learning about the environment. Thank you, MEEC!
MEEC has been outstanding for our students and our community! They are educating teachers and students and causing a paradigm shift in our area. Our school has become a school of environmental education, largely as a result of MEEC's influence. Samantha Murray is a true professional and works to continually improve the education system.
MEEC is an amazing organization!!! They provide opportunities like no other. They are dedicated to getting STEM into the classrooms and they support educators by providing the vehicle for funding! They have helped make a major impact in my classroom!
MEEC is an outstanding organization! They offer many opportunities for both student and the teacher. I was taken back by the measures that the specialists have taken to provide insight, with respect to STEM curriculum. I have been to many fantastic workshops, that allow me to expose my students to various , hands on methods of instruction. In addition, I was given a list of organizations that were willing to come to the classroom and make toothpaste! So many students left school that day, eager to become scientists. Furthermore, I was lucky enough to attend Keystone Science School over the summer. I am at a loss for words! It was an amazing experience! One of which I have taken to my classroom, daily! I can't remember teaching before I found MEEC. I can assure you it has made me love my job even more!

MEEC is an amazing organization!! They have provided me an insight on ways to spread awareness. In addition, many opportunities to take my students on field trips, enter contests, for rewards, and classroom visits. I was so impressed with all of the curriculum I was offered, for my classroom. Many of the materials are from garden ideas, coupled with grant opportunities, to NASA and space information. Everything provided is age appropriate, and everyone is so friendly and eager to help in any way. Also, my students have always looked forward to the "Going Green" poster contest, as well as, the many essays made available, for a reward. Lastly, my last classroom visit, was amazing!! My students were able to make toothpaste from sodium carbonate. They added food coloring, and flavoring. They learned about the MOHS hardness scale. They were so excited about that lesson. Many walked away saying that they wanted to be a scientist when they grew up. I am extremely pleased, and I feel very blessed to have found this organization, with respect to the classroom environment!

I am a special education teacher. I have found that MEEC is accepting of all students regardless of ability. This is something that is not always the case, and so it makes science education that much more accessible for my students. I appreciate all of the resources, ideas, and support that MEEC provides to ALL students.
Excellent training for educators interested in expanding their knowledge base in the area of science. MEEC always provides great supplemental material to use in the classroom.
MEEC is very education-friendly. They fund grant opportunities, present workshops with free material to take.
