The Mobile Art Program works with the residents at the nursing home my mother lives in. She has really enjoyed working with the instructors ad has made new friends at the home.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

observing an increased self-esteem in my mother.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Michael, Maggie & Theresa helped with a Halloween Carnival at Heritage Park. It was great fun!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do more good.

I have attended two of the exhibits featuring works by the Mobile Art Program. It is great to see the variety of images created by the participants. They express their personalities in the bright, colorful paintings. You can tell that they enjoy painting!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

attending exhibits.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give them more funding so that they can work with an even larger audience.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the compassion that Michael Chen, Maggie Schmitt and Theresa Zelazny put into the program.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind, compassionate and funny!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

branch out to many other kow-income nursing homes and visit elders confined to their homes (like Meals on Wheels but with art).

Ways to make it better...

the organization could expand their outreach.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I have enjoyed watching the Mobile Art Program blossom.

As a professor, I have had students who interned with the Mobile Arts Program. All had a terrific experience! Theresa has created a program that not only brings purpose and joy to older participants but also gives volunteers a chance to experience a truly inspirational organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the joy it brings to participants.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

clone Theresa!! She does remarkable work on a shoe-string budget.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing tremendous pride and big smiles on the faces of participants.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and caring. My student interns learned the value of "giving back". Many noted their intention to continue doing volunteer work with various organizations after graduation.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

develop pride in many more older participants, who may not have known the sense of purpose that the Mobile Arts Program develops in its participants.

Ways to make it better...

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

There are not enough Theresas to go around! Her heart is really in this nonprofit - and it shows on her face and the faces of participants and interns.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I have so much respect and affection for Theresa. She has taken her love of art and used it in the finest way imaginable --> to help others. And it's working!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Ways to make it better...

I have personally seen the pride and enthusiam the elders with whom Theresa works with show. They are so proud of the artwork they produce. The art related field trips that Theresa takes the elders on to are invaluable to opening their world to new experiences. Theresa is a godsend to many who have little contact with anyone else in their lives. She is a huge ray of sunshine for this population and all who know her. With her patient guidance, Theresa shows people that you can can produce a piece of artwork and have skills that they did not know they possessed.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

a presentation of artwork posted in a courtyard of a senior center.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The pride and joy that the seniors showed when their artwork was used to beautify their courtyard.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very kind and patient with the elders. Theresa knew all the participants individually.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

allow Theresa to work F.T. with her organization & buy more supplies for different mediums. She could also hire P.T. help to expand her services to include more facilities.
