MOBILE ART PROGRAM
Invite reviews
I recently have found myself with extra time on my hands and was encouraged to volunteer with a local art program. I have especially had fun at one of the senior centers and working with a very quite lady. I believe that Theresa and Michael truly live by the Mobile Art Program mission: To deliver art activities to seniors and disabled adults. Our goals are to foster self-esteem, build friendships and revive the spirit through group art activities. I have always enjoyed art and found this is a great way to give back to the Austin community.

Meeting a wonderful, shy and quite lady who I am able to work one on one with and have the director of the senior center explain what progress this is.

Recently my fiancé and I have started volunteering with the Mobile Art Program. I am really amazed by the difference the program has made in the lives of the participants. Theresa is truly a blessing in the lives of these people. She and Michael have been some welcoming to us as volunteers and never fail to let us know how appreciative they are. The truth is that the opportunity to give back has been a blessing all in its own. We have gotten so many words of encouragements by the by the individuals we serve because they are truly grateful to have a program like this around. One of the most memorable moments has been seeing these individuals faces lit up when they see the art they have created.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Allow Theresa to do bring joy to the lives of these individuals full-time. She would be able to hire a nice staff to do these services all the time.

I have had a great experience working with the Mobile Art Program. You will find few people as caring and dedicated as Theresa. Because of her I have been able to see all the wonderful art work that seniors are able to make.

I've had the pleasure of working with Theresa and her pupils three or four times in the last year. Theresa is very dedicated to providing excellent art projects for her students and takes a lot of time gathering materials and prepping for the work sessions. I was hired to assist Theresa with one group of students to create mosaic stepping stones for the courtyard of the community center. Mosaics require quite a few supplies and Theresa had everything ready for students to come in an get involved. They were very enthusiastic for the project and we had a great time creating them. Now only were the students happy about the work we were doing, they were engaged with one another and proud of their work. Theresa had other projects to add to the beautification of the courtyard, and later had a dedication ceremony for the community.
