To be a part of Mission 4 Maureen is sharing in the vision of a selfless, loving and caring individual. Maureen wanted nothing more than to make a difference in other's lives and with the help of her husband, father, children, family and friends her mission is being carried out. I have been a proud supporter of M4M since the beginning. I have taken alot of pride in recruiting online supporters through social networking, participating in raffle events and personal contributions. I am blessed to be apart of such a wonderful organization and look forward to seeing how many lives can be touched by this cause.

The mission statement-"Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do somehting" is exactly how this small but very dedicated organization works. The efforts of the people and the patients and their families who benefit from their work know- M4M pays it forward! When faced with over-whelming issues, they get at least a little renewed faith and hope from the M4M. So many times we want to help but either are not asked or do not know how to help a family in this type of situation. M4M, with their motto, shows that everyone can do something either by supporting M4M finacially, or recommending a family or individual who needs assistance. Donations to M4M go directly to families who need it, not into an organization that has overhead and expenses that interfere with the donations getting to those who need it. Thanks to those who are the M4M. You have taught me what a commitment to a mission really means.

mission Maureeen was a God send. After our daughter was diagnosed with a maligant brain tumor. I stopped working the day of diagnosis. to take care of her. this cut our house hold income to less than Half. Within no time our reserve funds were used up. Mission for Maureen has paid two months of mortgage for us. we would have been out on the street with a very sick child had it not been for this network. This diagnosis could not have come at a worse econimic time.with so may jobs being lost. We have to travel long distance for treatment. and sometimes to fill the vehicle takes the very last of funds. I hate to say it but I am glad when we go to the hospital. then I know that our daughter will get good nutritious meals for a few days. we do not qualify for assistance from the gov. This has been a dark journey. and we just pray a successful outcome.. may God continue to bless this charity and all they do for others.

If there were more stars to fill in under the "Overall Rating", it still would not be enough to let the public know the difference "MISSION4MAUREEN" has made in many lives. Maureen wanted nothing more then to touch the lives of children, adults and their loved ones that were suffering from this terrible disease. Our family has made this "Mission" our mission and will continue to do so until the last family has to suffer no longer.

Mission4Maureen was initiated out of love and passion from a young wife and mother who died of brain cancer leaving 3 young children who of course didn't understand. Their Mother wanted this help for others...wanted her children to learn about outreach and giving, thus, her dream became the passion of her loving family...to help other families who have a loved one that suffers from cancer and needs financial assistance. This young Mother was never so self-absorbed in her own illness to forget about others, especially a little boy she met in the hospital who too suffered from cancer. Maureen's husband, children and family, participate in any activity that promotes Mission4Maureen, always feeling the loving spirit of their Mother, Wife, Sister, and Daughter embracing them.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Watching the selfless work, passion and dedication to having Mission4Maureen work, soliciting donations and trying to make their dollars stretch to the max to help others in need.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
were all dedicated to one purpose...making the dreams of Maureen realized after her death...people who wanted to lift or ease the burden of expense for other families.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
and WOULD help thousands of families who cannot afford the high medical bills, the extended bill payments and financial loss everyone experiences through serious illness.
Ways to make it better...
I had more money to give. But at least I can go solicit donations for them.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
getting enough donations to cover some many requests for help. It's people helping people, not a large charity that solicits donations by celebrity or government subsidies.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Other than finding a cure for cancer, Prayers, Donations, and Passion are the only hopes these families have...3 of those attributes anyone can provide...and the 4th can be forever addressed by the other 3.

This nonprofit organization was conceived in honor of its namesake, Maureen, who was taken from her husband, three children under 5, and her loving family at the age of 35 by a Glioblastoma. Maureen's father and husband founded the organization, and also includes Maureen's brothers who take part in triathalons in her memory and honor to raise funds to help others financially in their dealing with Cancer. The organization holds annual fund raisers, but there are just not enough people out there aware of it. This organization could do so much if only the word was spread, which is my reason for writing the review. Top notch organization, volunteers, and family attempting to help others.

Mission4Maureen was extrememly helpful to a family that I referred to them. The family was facing mounting financial troubles that were preventing them from being able to focus on what mattered most--their ill child. Mission4Maureen quickly answered this family's needs, assisting with outstanding utility bills and housing costs, allowing the family to regain a sense of stability, not only financial, but emotional as well.

We were really fortunate to come across Mission4Maureen. The organization has been very supportive to our family and understands the needs of families dealing with cancer. Our 3 year old was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma on Nov 28, 2008. At the time we were both working full time and I was 4 months pregnant. Since then, we are down to one income and I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on April 9th. The organization was able to assist us with some of our financial needs. They are a blessing and wondering group of people.

The Mission 4 Maureen is wonderful. They helped us save of familly home of more than 41 years by making our house payment for 6 months. Additionally, they accepted donations from others on our behalf. We simply cannot thank the Mission 4 Maureen enough. My daughter has been battling primary brain cancer for 15 years. I have had to refinance many times in order to offset the high cost of having brain cancer, the high cost of uncovered expenses, travel for treatment such as brain surgery, etc. I am also disabled and feared losing the only home we have ever known. The kindness the Mission 4 Maureen showed us was inspiring, and we hope we will be able to pay it forward one day. We are forever grateful to the Mission 4 Maureen. Sincerely, Jan OBrien Tacoma, Washington

...I cannot think of anything that would made our experience any better. The Mission 4 Maureen is wonderful !!!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
...financial donations so they are able to help other cancer patients and their families.
One thing I'd also say is that...
...we applied to many other organizations, but were turned down because they do not provide financial help for day-to-day basic needs of cancer patients, and their families. I believe the Mission 4 Maureen stands alone.
