My daughter had brain surgery Nov of 2012, the tumor was removed and it turned out to be cancerous . So she has been undergoing extensive radiation treatments and now starting her chemo for the next 14 month. I had to stay home from work to be with her during her month of hospital stay and to take care of her during her recovery, and since we have no family around us, im also the only one that can take her to all her other doctor visits and physical therapy . As a single parent the weight of not having income coming in but still all the bills needed to be paid , I reached out to Mission4 Maureen and what a God send blessing this organisation is!! Thank you for helping us so our rent and utilities could be paid for a whole month , also some of the medical bills which are piling up everyday !! The help from Mission4 Maureen has taken some of the daily worries and stress of my shoulders! If the world would only have only such caring humans around , there would be more harmony and peace in this world!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Our daughter had severe headaches. The day before her appointment with a Neurologist she had a Gran Maul Seizure. She was transported to Westchester Medical Center and we were told she would need to have a tumor removed form her brain. After a 15 hour surgery and a few days later we find out she had a Ependymoma Brain Tumor (Cancer). During this time Our daughter has been following Protocal Of MRI'S ever three to four months for two years. Medical appointment, Physical therapy and medication and so on.
The sitiuation of crisis doesnt stop the medical and everyday expense a famly faces. One evening I decided to find help online . We found Mission4Maureen. After reading their story and reading the stories of the families they have helped we decided to fill out an application. During this process i had a problem and i contacted them directly by phone. The wonderful woman who answered the phone was so helpful so kind. We finished and i tell you from start to finish it took two weeks. They helped pay for our daughter's MRI'S and most of our household bills for a month.
Alowing us to be able to make repairs on the family vechicle for our daughters upcoming appointments.
We couldnt express to them the graditude we have for the help they provived. Mission4maureen is a wonderful charity and i would tell anyone who needs help to please apply.
Thank You
The Carlucci Family

My son was diagnosed with an inoperatable brain tumor when he was 6 years old, almost 10 years ago. I have struggled under the financial strains since becoming a single parent. Mission4Maureen was able to help me with making my car payments for 6 months. What a huge blessing to my family, since I needed the car to take my son back and forth to his appointments.

Our son, Luke, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at the age of 18 months old. Our family was devasted by the news and life as a we know it changed. We spent many our traveling to chemo appointments and doctors for the last few years. It has taken a toll on us emotionally and financially. Fortunately for mission 4 maureen, they assisted us with the financial burden. The staff was friendly and helpful. The are sincere to families situations and truly kind at heart. We will forever be grateful.

From the mission statement, to their fulfillment of it, M4M is a fantastic organization. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 31, and this group paid my bills for a month when all other help and resources had run out. They quite literally kept the lights and heat on, and overall decreased my stress level 100% (if even for a short while, the respite was appreciated.) Thanks impart to the I am still I in the game!

When my husband, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 39, was finally no longer able to work, Mission4Maureen was there to help where no one else was. It's not just about the medical bills and traveling expenses. It was about losing the breadwinners income. We were lucky that we had wonderful insurance and family resources. But even that was not enough. Mission4Maureen understands that it is the day to day, month to month expenses that families ultimaltely need the most help with. Having one less stress, one less worry gives greater peace of mind to the patient and the caregiver. During the final weeks and days of my husbands life I was present. Not just physically, but mentally and spriritually because I was not concerned about how to pay the mortgage or keeping the lights on. Sure there was debt, but it was more manageable, thanks to Mission4Maureen.

I first became acquainted with Mission 4 Maureen when I was running my family's foundation to find a cure for brain tumors. As we learned more about the incredible help they provided families facing this dreaded disease, we realized the importance of what they do. In the brain tumor world, and in the cancer world generally, there is a lot of money raised for research and for trials. There is money raised to help pay for expensive treatments. However, it is nearly impossible to pay for all of the "side effects" of treating one's brain tumors - the costs to get child care help, the choice between making a mortgage payment or paying for a treatment that is not covered by insurance, the financial burden of car services to and from necessary appointments. These things are hugely important to a family fighting this disease. Friends and families around you are often generous, but it does not fill this hole. Mission 4 Maureen recognizes this and is one of the few organizations I have found to help with this. I have been fortunate to meet with and speak to a number of people who have been helped by Mission 4 Maureen. They acknowledge that if they did not receive assistance from M4M, they would never have been able to fight the fight that was needed to save their life. If you are looking for a non-profit that fits the description of "great" - Mission 4 Maureen is the one to choose!

Our 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor 5 years ago and underwent brain surgery for treatment...all of the tumor could not be removed because of its location. Mission4Maureen was gracious enough to provide financial assistance for our utility bills as we had to travel weekly for her year-long chemotherapy treatments that followed. This was truly a blessing to experience that people are still compassionate enough to help others and ease their hardship. Many thanks and God bless!!!
