I think the mission in a good place to be for someone in need. since i came here i have been helped alot in many ways. There are also alot of good hearted people here and alot of care and giving.

The Mission is home to me i came here 3 weeks ago i was lost in never been in a situation like this before i was scared when i came here but within a hour i felt the love this is family....this place is amazing place the people here are great,loving,caring....everyone here makes you feel loved n welcome!!!!If someone every asked me bout a homeless shelter i will diffently recommend the mission of citrus...marilyn has helped alot of people what she does here she is amazing....mama sheila is a great person as well if u ever needed help she is there to listen n talked to...!!!! there are a few more people that have lift me up such as mama wilma is amazing women she makes me smile so much everyday working with her is the greatest thing ever...she is amazing!!!ALWAYS save the BEST for the last papa jim he is the best thing that has ever happen to me he has takeing me off the streets and i have learned alot being here....even when he sick n stuff he is still there for us when we need him regardless how sick he is he will always be there to talk to him or just listen...he is a great friend n a wonderful person he what makes the mission go around without with n a few others this place wouldnt b family....for most n for all god bless us n this place n jesus name i pray rachel morais{eaves}

The mission is home to me and a new challenge I love this place cause it teaches me more about myself and others how to love and how to beleive in faith,helping others and helping myself. I was never homeless before and this place is important for those who have no place to go like me.. I love Pappa Jim and the other residents and I wanna make Pappa Proud. Cacy C

How I got to the mission? I was pretty much put out of where I was living since mid april of 2012.
Then ended up living in a motel for 2 months. Then stayed for about a month with another family
member. Finally, I started calling shelters, and came across the Mission in Citrus. Once I arrived here, I was a lil worried what it would be like. I soon came to find that here, there is a family. James is the FATHER OF ALL RESIDENTS ;-) This man has a HEART that is AMAZING! He loves and protects all
of us as if we was his own flesh and blood. He makes sure that we don't go without. The kids here
are well taken care of and wants for nothing, if he can help it. The people here are like MOTHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, AUNTS & COUSINS & UNCLES. We look out, protect, cook, work, help, etc as a family should. James has taught us to love one another and that even tho we are homeless, we do matter and we do have a purpose in life. He has also taught us to have FAITH. I don't know what else to say about my experience here at the mission, except that, I am glad that I found them. I have been blessed to have found my new found extended family. I thank James for establishing the mission, and for being the MAN that he is.

I am very thankful for the Mission In Citrus for being here. They have taken me in off the streets and given me a place to stay so that I wouldn't end up on the streets in the cold. I am very thankful for the man who we all call "Papa Bear" because he takes an interest in everyone's health and well being. He cares about our lives, where we will end up, and what we do. We get godly advice, encouragement, and love every day. The Mission is a family in all of its own. I would recommend this place to anyone I know if and when they became homeless, I would definitely send them here.

A friend told me about this awsome loving place called the missions. I decided to give them a call n they let me come in and live, which was a blessing....I love this place, it saved my life, i would love and be anored to recremend anyone to live here. Everyone here is so loving , n really do care about everyone. they let me come n stay a place to lay my head. I thank god for them.
