I first learned about The Miracle Foundation in January this year when I revisited Anbarasi Social Action, an orphanage outside Dindigul in Tamilnadu. Having served as a volunteer there for 6 weeks in the end of 2011 and before the organization steped in on the scene, I became thrilled, amazed and deeply impressed by the many improvements and all the changes to the better that hade been made to the home in such a short time. It really warmed my heart to see the children healthier and happier than ever before. Back home I studied their web site and learned about The NEST-method, a comprehensive and impressive program to suport children with everything they need to reach their full potential. I now understod that what I had witnessed at my visit was just the beginning of something hughe.
My easiest decission ever taken was to become a donor and a proud member of this organization.
Thank you, The Miracle Foundation, for doing such a great job.

I did an internship at The Miracle Foundation for a semester. It was an amazing experience. The staff here is amazing. They work so hard and they're so dedicated to make this organization a success. You can tell that they really care about the orphans in India who are not as fortunate as we are. They are just a group of fun, loving, and caring individuals who have come together to make a difference in the world. They are the sweetest people I have ever worked with. They truly enjoy what they do and it made me realize how perfect their job is. They are so passionate about it and they're helping so many kids. It's just perfect always being around these amazing role models. I did a lot of the medical records of the kids in the orphanages and it was really exciting to see how the health of the kids had improved ever since the Miracle Foundation took over. It was definitely a great experience and I would definitely do it again if I had the chance!

The Miracle Foundation is the most honest, hard-working, passionate and loving group of people you will EVER find. As a two-time ambassador in 2011 and 2012, I have met the children that this organization helps and it blew me away at the amount of love and opportunity for growth they provide these children. The Founder of The Miracle Foundation, Caroline Boudreaux, is hands down the most committed and passionate woman I have ever met. Her story is inspiring and her willingness to do what she does is fueled by her determination, courage and passion. Becoming a part of this team/family/organization has been the most rewarding experience of my life and I highly reccommend this charity to anyone and everyone.

I started volunteering at The Miracle Foundation back in December and words cannot express how impressed I am with this organization. Caroline's story will bring tears to your eyes, she is a kind, remarkable and inspirational woman. The staff of The Miracle Foundation could not be anymore positive and down to earth. They are so welcoming and are truly passionate about their work. I definitely encourage people to experience the service of others through this organization. It is with out a doubt life changing.

I have enjoyed my time serving as a volunteer with The Miracle Foundation. It has opened my eyes to how an efficient non-profit is suppose to be run. I love the company culture of The Miracle Foundation and I firmly believe that their mission statement is being fulfilled.

As a volunteer I
am able to help out in many areas, including working with the databases and general organization of everyday tasks. Also, I have loved working with the employees of this foundation and learning from their work. They are truly transforming children's lives in India and for that I am grateful to be able to volunteer for such a powerful organization.

The Great!

I've experienced results of this organization in seeing before and after pictures of the children that this organization has helped. It blew me away how much healthier and happy the children look after being affected by this foundation. It's truly amazing.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would continue to encourage everyone to consider spreading the Miracle Foundation to more locations around the world. :)

I am a volunteer, donor/sponsor, and Ambassador for this organization. I started out just sponsoring a child and giving as able to various projects. I occasionally volunteered. Then I went to India and personally experienced what the organization was doing there. It was absolutely amazing and continues to be one of the most profound, memorable, and life changing trips I'll ever take. I fell in love with the children and The Miracle Foundation staff made sure that our time was spent really serving the children...by loving them and playing with them. What an amazing gift! TMF staff also handled so many details of the trip so that I could focus on the work and the children and the experience and not worry about how to buy a train ticket and navigate a very very confusing country (to say the least!)
I have been back twice since and will go again and continue to support their mission.

In spite of the challenges that any group like TMF may encounter, it's clear that the members of this organization are dedicated and remain focused on the immediate and future needs of these orphans- it seems to drive them forward, stay the course and remain true to their vision & mission.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

As a sponsor and physician-volunteer, I had an opportunity to travel to 3 orphanages in India in 2009. I met 500 children and saw the real-time impact TMF affords these orphans. After my trip, I felt inspired and relieved that the efforts of the sponsors, volunteers and members of the TMF family is not just fluff and philosophy, but rather translates into practical and realistic goals that for real impact the health, personal development and education of these orphans.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

My hope is that these folks continue their relevant, daunting and often unrecognized efforts. My thanks to family/friends for the introduction to TMF.

I have been involved with The Miracle Foundation since 2004, as a volunteer and donor. I have sponsored children, done pro bono work for the organization, made donations and have traveled to India five times on their volunteer orphanage trips. I can't say enough about the importance of the work they are doing, or the quality of the organization. I was so inspired by The Miracle Foundation that, as a writer, I even published a book about the issues and work with orphaned/homeless children (The Weight of Silence, 2009). If every non-profit organization could be run like this one, the world would be a better place.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing the difference they make in the lives of individual children. I have personally witnessed specific children that, without The Miracle Foundation's work, would likely not have made it. Sumitra, for example, was brought to the TMF orphanage in 2006; she was a 9-month-old starving infant who had been found in the bushes. I have since visited Sumitra twice, and today she is a thriving, chubby, playful and happy five year old child!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Increase their funding and capabilities so that more of the 25 million children in India who need such homes could have one; and so that the model could be expanded to other countries. The TMF homes are not institutional orphanages - they are village models with house mothers and family-oriented living. Just what all children need!

LIke many other non-profits, TMF is a well-run, much needed organization. But unlike many others where involvement means attending a fund-raising dinner or writing a check, TMF offers the opportunity to develop strong connections between people in the US and people in India with rewards running in both directions. Such connections are heart-felt and can last a lifetime. They also extend well beyond the basic goals of TMF.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the hearing and reading of the stories from those who have worked in India and from the children who have been served.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

wish for a huge endowment for TMF.

What a blessing the Miracle Foundation is!!! On so many levels - helping orphans in under-served populations of India, helping their communities and surrounding low-income families, providing jobs and places for WOMEN of all ages, rank and background who are traditionally not empowered, and most of all, providing a way for the rest of us to feel like we are helping and can be of service in this world. This last is incredibly important - Miracle Foundation organizes and leads groups of Americans to live and work in the actual children's homes - getting to them in rural India is challenging in and of itself but then to be there living with the children in their space, surrounded by so much, both good and bad all at once is just soul-expanding.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing children, house mothers, staff and admin able to smile and thrive in even harsh surroundings. Though the 'things' TMF can provide are important and worthy, even more heart-rendering and important are the IDEAS they are providing - that people with 'more' CARE - they are seen - that there is hope and it is ok to risk LOVING despite circumstances - providing this knowledge to so many children while it ripples out to ALL of us is incredibly inspiring and important.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

provide a link to the various government agencies and byzantine regulations, both domestic and internationally, to allow children to be placed and cared for safely and efficently; to streamline the 'process' without unnecessary hinderance. Provide for more staff in India and more checks and balances in general.
