Florida Heart Research Institute has clearly made a healthy difference in the lives of South Florida residents thru their outreach efforts in underserved communities. They have made it easy for residents to be screened for the presence of cardiovasucalar disease by coming to the communities, be it churches, public parks, community centers as well as health centers, where they bring the service to those who need it the most. I have had multiple experiences with FHRI and have found them to be professional in their presentation, prompt is their support, engaging, and they treat clients the way you would want to be treated, with courtesy and respect. Beyond the respectful treatment of clients, they have demonstrated the ability to clearly articulate the results of the screening in a comfortable manner that the clients understand.
FHRI is extremely concerned with follow up of residents who have been screened and have been found to have risk factors. They provide prompt accurate information to health centers that allows the health centers to reach out and provide appropriate follow up care. They also follow up with community health centers to track results to ensure that as many clients as possible have been contacted for treatment.
FHRI is extremely accessible and cooperative. They exhaust all efforts in accomodating as many request for services as possible. As an organization, they show that they care. I have found FHRI to be the best organization I've ever I the pleasure to serve with.

FHRI's participation in the Henry Schein Healty Living Health Fair where one of the participants, the mother of a CHI employee, was screened and found to have an elevated cholesteral level. This prompted her to seek and receive appropriate care that helped her lived a longer and healthier life. This patient has since passed on, but she was afforded more time thanks to the detection of her risk factor by FHRI and follow on care received at Community Health of South Florida, Ind

No changes recommended. They are simply spectacular in the way they presently perform.
Florida Heart Research Institute has been instrumental in many initiatives put forth by Miami-Dade County Government. Their partnering in some of our activities has been invaluable because they not only bring great expertise to areas of prevention but also bring a great deal of networking opportunities free of charge.
