There is always something fun happening at the Miami Children's Museum! Not only are the exhibits wonderful at keeping kids engaged for hours, but there are fun and creative daily activities throughout the museum every day. The staff is friendly and helpful. The museum also offers seasonal camps, classes, and the best birthday parties in town. Miami Children's Museum is a magical place that is a definite "must see" when you are in town.

I am from Miami but I love to travel. I've had the opportunity to visit museums across the US and Europe-- where they have fantastic museums so I'm pretty snobby about them. I have family that visits Miami every year and have been underwhelmed with most of the grown-up museums across the US. So when we decided to check out the Miami Children's Museum I wasn't expecting much.

Boy was I wrong.

This place is fantastic. They have wonderful exhibits suitable for all ages(Because adults can be kids all over again). Most museums seem to cater more to the little ones while older kids are an afterthought. The Miami Children's Museum had enough to keep my little 4 year old cousin and my 7 year old cousin engaged for hours. The art exhibit alone occupied my little cousin for hours. They had to drag him out of there.

The staff and volunteers were also friendly and helpful. I cant say enough great things about this place.

The Miami Children's Museum has many wonderful things about it, but my favorite part is the MCM players. This is a small in-house theater group that puts on short shows in the museums auditorium. Their version of Green Eggs and Ham is astounding. They usually have shows during the target Free Family evening. Don't miss it.
