I worked for Met Council for about ten years; first running two SROs in Seagate Brooklyn and then as Director of Social Services. The Agency performs "heroics" on a daily basis; from helping folks in crisis to supporting individuals in finding employment and housing. All done in the "Jewish" way; with humility, tenacity and great skill.

My experience working together (I am the housing director at a non-profit in Midwood, Brooklyn) with the this superb organization has been tremendous. The level of dedication of the staff and of the central office is to be emulated. This organization ought to be given as an example of how to run an efficient, cohesive and fulfilling non-profit.
