My brother was greatly helped by MARR, and today he's a walking miracle! What a great organization. They have been a huge blessing in my life.

Not sure what I would change.

Several MARR alumni are close friends of mine. I know that they attribute their recovery and success in life to their experience in MARR program. Each year we attend the annual "Celebration of Recovery" MARR banquet. The 1000+ people at that event are a true testimony to the outstanding work that MARR does day in and day out.

I believe in the program taught at MARR. Many of the past clients are good friends of mine. I would not have this privilege if it had not been for MARR.

I,ve had the opportunity to get to know a lot of MARR alumni in the last three years. I,ve seen them come in and go out. The best part of my experience with them is seeing the happiness that they leave with. A confidence in them selves that was not there when they arrived. They leave with a knowledge of them selves and of the world around them. There is a true opportunity to grow which i have had the pleasure of watching. And for that I say, thank you.

I've had the blessing of having known many MARR clients, and have had MARR clients in my big book studies in past years. Many MARR grads are now part of my recovery family. I've referred to MARR, and have at times sought counseling for myself from one of their counselors when I was in a relationship with an addict. I have nothing but the highest praise for the organization. It takes the broken and loves and guides them thru the healing process. It has to be one of the best places an addict or alcoholic could find himself. I know many graduates who have full and successful lives now - what greater testament is there to their effectiveness? God bless you, MARR.

Some counseling I received at one time from one of their counselors. I've seen the results in the MARR clients I've known and still know.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Find a whole bunch of money to give to them. :-) The only thing I'd change would be, if I could, their financial support.

As a pastor in North Georgia I had the opportunity to work with a variety of people. Many of them had problems related to recovery issues. One member in particular of our congregation spoke high of the change in her life because of MARR. After hearing her story and her before and after experiences, I had no problem referring others to the program. MARR has changed many lives and for that I am very thankful.

Both my brother-in-law and stepson have attended the MARR program. They were given a sound foundation of tools to use to help them with their life time commitment to sobriety. The staff at MARR is very caring, knowledgeable and yet firm in working with all of their clients. I would strongly recommend this program to anyone seeking help with alcohol or drug addition.

Thank you MARR for all that you did for my Uncle. He had struggled for many years and would continue down a destructive path on several occasions....that is until he entered MARR's rehabilitation program. It was almost immediately that our family began to see a difference; a renewed sense of self, newfound faith and remorse for all the wrong he had done. It was incredible; as he progressed further into the program, he became a mentor to others and began giving seminars to support his peers. I have never been so proud of my Uncle as I am today. He has inspired me to make a difference with my life, to walk with the Lord and to give back to the community. I love you Uncle Tharin, I have and always will believe in you.

As the family member of one of MARR's former residents, I am so pleased to see the remarkable change in my brother in law. This was his second chance at rehabilitation and there was a long period of time between the two.
There was a long stretch of time when none of the family knew where he
could be found or reached at any given time. When he was around, he seemed to avoid everyone and spent most of his time sleeping or perhaps simply avoiding all of us. He missed so much family time and we missed him. Every member of his family attempted to help him in some way, however, it turned out to be another "him taking advantage of" situation.
Since he entered MARR about 5 years ago, he is so much more involved with all the family and is now enjoying being a great uncle to the new young people in the family. He doesn't pull the "I'll be there" statement and we never hear from him. He is enjoying being employed and earning his keep.
Needless to say, the entire family is so thankful to MARR for breaking through the barrier he had put between feelings he had during his addiction days and his new days of being an involved member of his family.

When my wife and I were at the end of our rope with our son and no where to turn nor any hope left, we finally found the doors of MARR and got him in to their treatment program and because of the way, and only because of the way they approached addiction and treatment, he got it. This was after many years of searching to no avail. It has now been 11 years since he became sober---has a wife and two beautiful little girls, my grand daughters, and is a model citizen giving back where ever he can to society and other suffering alcoholics and addicts. I f someone had told me 11 years and 1 month ago that he could have what he has today, I wouldn't have believed it. Thank you MARR for saving his life. We are blessed beyond words.
