When I was diagnosed with a meningioma in 2008, I started researching immediately. I found Meningioma Mommas and I will forever be grateful. The information, the connections with others, the contributions to meningioma research has been built by committed leadership. My neurosurgeon saved my brain. Menigioma Mommas saved my sanity. Like I said, I will forever be grateful. Barbara

I have to concur with the previous review. While I found this forum to be very helpful in recovering from the trauma of a meningioma, along with connecting with other meningioma survivors, the administrators were very defensive and even combative at times which caused me to move on. It was unfortunate because I know the organization has been quite helpful to the cause of meningioma survivors.

I have donated thousands of dollars to this organization and i was planning to hold a fundraiser for it in conjunction with my 50th birthday in 2010 at no expense to the organization but the executive director/founder became disgruntled when I asked about how its money is spent and whether she would appear at the fundraiser to speak on the illness. She then withdrew the organization from the fundraiser. She never publicly attempted to recruit volunteers to help do the fundraiser even though her organization would have been one of two beneficiaries. I should have done due diligence before I chose to include this organization in my fundraiser. Lesson learned.
