Margaux's Miracle is an amazing organization that is dedicated to eradicating Ewing's Sarcoma and other rare cancers through advancing research and other medical efforts. The best part about MMF is that they don't just talk the talk - they work tirelessly to raise money and then donate it directly to the hospital so that researchers can devote their time and efforts to finding a cure. The people who run the organization are passionate, dedicated and hard-working. As both a volunteer and a professional in the cancer field, I am excited to nominate MMF for the Cancer Fighter Awards because they are serving such a specific need and have been able to produce tangible results in less than 10 years.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting the patients who have directly benefited from the research being done at MSKCC. Hearing their stories is a powerful reminder that MMF serves a critical need and that their work has already shown real results.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

loving, dedicated, determined, funny, and the list could go on...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

find a cure for Ewing's Sarcoma and other similar childhood cancers.

MMF is helping to advance the efforts to understand the nature of Ewing’s sarcoma, and to bring us closer to controlling and eventually curing this challenging disease and other childhood cancers. At Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, a research program in Margaux’s name has been underway for three years. Our goal is to make miracles happen for those who need them the most.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

due to MMF fellowship program at Mem. Sloan Ketering, patients with Ewing sarcoma demonstrated a very high rate of response& some patients have remained well for prolonged periods following a relapse. Stem cell research in Ewing sarcoma has begun at MSKCC

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to make people more aware of who we are and what we are doing.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the satisfaction of helping to find a cure.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all wonderful and extremely helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

increase our needs for our research program.

Ways to make it better...

there were more volunteers to help at these amazing events!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

having our donor program remain sustained during this poor economy.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Margaux's Miracle Foundation continues to help families and children with cancer as a liason to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
