To begin with teaching children is something i really enjoyed doing right from when i was much younger, with MAD this ambition has not only become a reality but in turn i realise that I'm able to reach out to so many kids and help them acquire a skill that can easily become their bridge to the global scenario. Anyway that's about how i joined and reacted to the initiative. When i actually started going to teach i found it hard, it was tough trying to make 50 highly energetic minds concentrate on something that obviously seemed less interesting than the next person's new sharpner. I was thoroughly exhausted on the first day and pleased at the same time because the kids responded to us really warmly, it seemed like the wanted to learn and that was what i wanted to catch on as an attitude for the class to function. As the classes proceeded things became easier, I knew what games to play in order to break the monotony or what wisecrack would ease an awkward student who was just inhibited to give an answer she knew. The kids too started absorbing well and three classes down the line we were on a roll, we had established an excellent mutual relationship wherein everyone would have fun and learn at the same time which is the priority at all times. Now even if i miss a class i think of all the kids and hope they're practicing and waiting for the next week as excitedly as i am. I hope i can continue the madness for a really long time. Cheers! Thinkin about Make a Difference i must say that it has been an experience that i shall treasure as well as marvel at!!! From being the most mischievious kid in class to trying to manage a classful of them.... nut the feeling of looking a clasful of children educated by u and who are able to successfully execute wat u taught them is a joy like no other..!!! having sucha deep ooted cause its the most fun organization i have been in...the kids are amazing and your peers n seniors show a wild and crazy side u mite never see...this organization has grown rapidly not only for the concept but with continual growth of efficiency of each and everyone of its members!! This organization has reformed me in many ways....patience(which used to be impossible) for one....social awareness, taking a stand and making a difference to the future of many..
MAD is definitely the place to be. Make a difference is an organisation that is inspirational to those who strive to bring about a change in the society. A network of young minds who struggle to make a difference to the orphan kids. MAD has given me the platform to reach out to the kids and help them cope with their lives, that i always wished for . I may not bring about a great change into the lives of these kids but a smile and a confident gesture keeps me moving forward to become a supportive latch to all these kids. PROUD TO BE A MADSTER !!
Had always wanted to make a difference to a person/society/country at the "Grassroot" level. But I was not able to figure out how that can be done. Monetary help to an individual or for a cause would certainly help, but I was not in a position to make a substantial donation for the same. That is when i came across MAD. MAD aims at invigorating the most essential element of a person - that of being independent through education. And that most comforting factor was the group was formed by peers with a passion. And they were open to suggestions being themselves exploring various options at imparting education, one that will be handy for kids in future. The course designed is very much different from the education methods used upon us. Being kids, they would always love to have fun. Thats what MADster does - learning through fun. May sound cliched but i have no other words to describe what we do. It gives immense pleasure to know how eagerly kids await for those 2 hours we spend with them. Their eagerness to learn, communicate with us inspires you all the more to immerse yourself at working this grassroot level. Though we are all young - both by age and experience in this field, we are passionate and confident that in the long term, these kids will definitely put to good use what we impart to them today.

My experience at mad was wonderful. Its not just about teaching orphans kids but also about knowing their psychology, multiple intelligence skills etc. The syllabus is designed in such a way that makes classes a play room rather a drab tuition room. And this is what turns me on. Also the work shops are lively and enthuse a lot of fun and energy with which we can conduct our classes better. You get to learn something and can satisfy your need for social service as well. So its a perfect package
MAD is possibly the best Serendipity that has happened to be till now.A MADster by accident,I am now totally mad about MAD. I'll always be thankful to MAD for providing me with the platform to reach out and actually make a difference to people's life. Interacting with kids belonging to Orphanages and Street Shelters and realizing that they are as intelligent and smart as us, if not more, has in itself been a revelation. And the fact that by just devoting 2 hours every week, one can actually bring about a difference in the lives of these very kids. The people in MAD, the values..Its all been fantastic till now and am sure it would be the same always. Proud to be MAD.
Whnever I used to see these young kids on street , I just felt very uncomfortable knowing that theres something I can def. do.. its just that I didn’t knw wat and how to do it.. The urge to be with these kids and make them see what they can become came across through MADD. From my first day with MADD and till date I have felt so satisfied because the way this organization work came as a complete surprise.. seeing the youth feeling for the cause and workin in a much organized way trying to make every small difference they can .. The course is so very well designed tht you can relate to the kids at home shelter , moreover I will alwys be thankful to MADD cos I am getting to live my childhood again and this time tryin to shape it in a more brighter way.. MADD journey is a long one, and I am all geared for it.. because MADD lets u know that there is an invisible connection between you and those special kids, who could also live a life like you..!!
I had worked with a few non profit organizations before i found out about Make a Difference, Delhi (MADD) through Facebook. My trouble with all organisations that i had worked with before was that, as a volunteer, I was never directly involved with the cause that they were working for. But MADD came as a pleasant surprise! As a volunteer with MADD, I was doing exactly what the people at the organizational level were doing. I was involved with the kids at the orphanage impacting their lives directly. Being a youth organization, they respect our opinions and ideas and not make us feel inexperienced. Another surprise was the level of professionalism within a youth non profit organization. its amazing to see how organized these guys are with the organizational team striving to bring in a well defined structure and processes within the organization. The curriculum is followed strictly in the classrooms to maintain the quality of teaching and the uniformity across classes in terms of what the students gain.I have been with MADD for 3 months now and enjoyed every moment of it. Working for an NGO has never been so engaging before.
