An Amazing, Wonderful, Philanthropic Organization that's unifying Jews all around the world. Truly a wonderful mission, that is only going to get better. It's an organization that gives underprivileged children, worldwide, a chance to play sports, meet new friends, and identify with their heritage.

I have seen Maccabi World Union make a difference in people's lives. Sports truly are an invaluable tool for crossing international boundaries as well as building confidence through teamwork. Maccabi World Union helps support this athleticism thrive--and helps fund those who cannot afford to have this experience. While I attended the 18th Maccabiah Games last summer in Israel--I saw the faces of athletes from countries like India, Kazakhstan and Macedonia--countries where Jewish populations are dwindling and economic times are tough. These athletes looked proid and triumphant as they were able to represent their country on a global stage.

I only thought that MYU was "the Jewish Olympics", which is a feat of its own, but MWU does much more. Not only do they bring Jewish youth together from all over the world by means of sports activities, they also host summer camps to keep children proactive and productive, and off the streets. If not for these events these Jewish youth might not have any connection to Judaism or Israel at all. Its really incredible what some of these youth have accomplished under the guide of MYU.

I got involved with Maccabi because it is a cause I believe in. The money they raise goes for multiple functions and the staff is more dedicated than any other I have seen. The Maccabi youth group are among the brightest and driven people I have met and we all went together this summer to Israel to meet the members of Maccabi Tzair and witness the Maccabiah first hand. I twas the most incredible experience of my life and I will never forget it. It has made me even MORE passionate about the organization. I have learned so much about strength and values from this organization and I am tremendously proud to be a part of it.

I constantly look forward to the upcoming events and the special causes that are involved. Everyone that likes sports, great nonprofit causes, and meeting good people should get involved!
