Lowell Transitional Living Center sees the many faces of homelessness each and every day - providing shelter, care, food and clothing to 120 men and women on any given night. During the cold New England winter, our winter emergency bed program shelters an additional 30-40 individuals who come in from the cold. We have been housing the homeless for more than 25 years on a shoe string budget with the help and dedication of more than 300 volunteers.

Our doors are open to anyone who need a place to stay - people who are coping with substance use and mental health issues, people displaced by domestic violence, people who've lost a job and subsequently, lost their home, people who can no longer rely on finding a place to stay among family or friends, people who have become invisible, lost their way and need a hand.

Our work is difficult - but our staff are committed, non judgmental and extremely compassionate. We believe everyone deserves a place to call home - and we work to end homelessness one client at a time...one night at a time.
