Mission: Love Never Fails International, Inc. (LNFI) is a non-profit organization that exists to glorify God by providing a “hand up, not a hand out” to at-risk and impoverished children.
The primary work of Love Never Fails International (LNFI) is after school mentoring programs known as Love Never Fails After-School (LNFAS). These programs allow elementary and middle school children a safe place to spend their afternoon school hours free of cost for their families. Currently, LNFI operates after school programs in three Fort Worth ISD (FWISD) elementary schools and one middle school. LNFAS serves approximately 60 at-risk children at each site. In order to provide students with the most individualized attention possible, they are divided into small groups of 10-12 students for their daily activities. LNF After-School programs operate four days a week; Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at their elementary school sites; Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:30 to 6:30 pm at their middle school site.
Results: What is the impact of LNF!? Child poverty costs the nation nearly $500 billion every year. We realize that the statistics are daunting, but an investment in our programs is the start of ending the cycle of poverty in America. No matter what our children may be facing, they are the leaders of tomorrow and their potentials are greater than their circumstances. The 2014-2015 was an incredible year, full of BIG changes for all of our programs. We served over 160 children as a first-year Full-Provider for Fort Worth ISD. The following results are calculated based on the number of children who attended the program at least 70% of the year:
• Student Attendance for both campuses was 86% this year – which translates to show that of all students served, 141 students came every day!
• LNFI Academic Assessment based on our curricula helped improve students’ scores in science, social studies, reading and math by an overall 13.4%!
• 125 total teacher involvement hours
• 537 total volunteer mentor hours
• Nearly 140 students improved in their conduct grades on their final report cards!
Most importantly we saw overwhelming changes in our children. We saw students transform into student body presidents, basketball captains and math-a-letes from angry, secluded and broken children.
LNF attests that the development of character is the ultimate measure of success of our programs. We use student assessments, mentor and staff reporting, school discipline records and teacher observations to analyze each child’s behavior enhancement. We know that good conduct reduces high-risk behaviors that strengthen the individual, their school, family and community.
LNF will always have a strong focus on character building and mentoring, as this is key to fulfilling our mission: Love Never Fails International exists to glorify God by providing “a hand up, not a hand out” to at-risk and impoverished children through positive, caring relationships and educational support.
Target demographics: At-risk and impoverished children, ages 8 - 16.
Love Never Fails is truly changing lives in the greater Fort Worth area. Children are our future and LNF is strategic in how they go about reaching children and changing their lives academically and spiritually!
Love Never Fails is an awesome organization. I first became aware of it many years ago and I have been gladly donating on a monthly basis to this nonprofit that has changed so many young people's lives. Actually, after being a donor to World Vision for over twenty years I changed my monthly giving to LNFI. Both the US after-school program, the orphanage and their other endeavors in Mexico have done so much to make their respective communities better places for children at risk to live and grow. I fully expect this tremendous organization to grow in the future and ultimately become a national force in the lives of at risk children in need. Their "a hand up, not a hand out" approach is the most effective way to truly change lives.
LNFI is an AWESOME program! I've had the privileged to hear many testimonies of how the lives of these children have been changed through their after school programs. LNFI staff have a heart for these children. They are an amazing group of people who take the time out of their busy schedule to give these children a hand up!
LNFI has truly blessed many children. I have seen the love the directors and volunteers have for these children. I have two boys who volunteer for the summer camps they go on. They love sharing God's love to them. When they come home they tell me testimonies of children's lives being changed through this organization.
LNFI is impacting children's lives every day, both here in Texas and in Reynosa, Mexico. I love receiving their newsletter and reading story after story about how these troubled, at-risk children are literally being transformed into leaders among their peers. It amazes me to see what can happen to a child when he/she receives the love, encouragement, and help they so desperately need. God bless LNFI!
I have been a donor to LNFI for over 6 years and participated as a counselor in their annual summer camp. I have witnessed the genuine love shown to these at risk children. I have also had the privaledge to hear from these children how LNFI has made a positive and lasting impact in their lives. The dedication and love the LNFI staff and volunteers have for at risk children and their families is absolutely inspiring and greatly admired. It is a joy and an honor to contribute to LNFI and th wonderful work they all do.
I donate to LNFI on a regular basis to help fund the work they do to mentor and encourage at-risk students. There is a great need to demonstrate to these children that someone cares about them. The volunteer mentors, under the direction of a LNFI director at each school, help these children deal with the issues they face in their lives as well as help them with their school subjects. They take them on field trips to businesses and other events to expose them to careers they have not had the opportunity to experience. I have personally visited one of the schools and shared my work experience with them. They were very interested and asked probing questions about specific aspects of the engineering tasks I perform at work. They are good children that just need some help and encouragement. LNFI is truly a worthy organization to support financially as well as become a volunteer mentor.
LNFI truly has the desire to see children sucessful in facing the many challenges life brings their way. This charity truly lives up to their name by loving these children and stays true to their 'moto', a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out."
