Devonshire PALS is committed to a partnership between youth, the Devonshire LAPD and the community. To fulfill this mission, we will provide the youth of this area with enriching, rewarding and instructive experiences thereby assisting in their development into mature, responsible adults. PALS will strive to be an outstanding citizen in the community by “Giving Youth a Brighter Tomorrow”.

Target demographics:

Children between the ages of 7-17 in the Devonshire and surrounding communities.


The greig smith lapd devonshire youth center is dedicated to developing character in youth, reducing juvenile crime and creating safer communities. The youth programs are provided after school and during summer vacation. They are available to all who wish to participate and provide youth with the wide array of educational, athletic, and recreational activities under the mentorship of dedicated police officers and enthusiastic local volunteers. Activities are provided monday - thursday from hours of 1-6pm to all youth ages 7 to 17 including school holidays and summer vacation. They include after-school tutoring, homework help, dance,martial arts instruction, literacy support, art, boxing, science classes, sports clinics and competitions, teen leadership,computer access and field trips. It averaged 123 children per day and supported 1571 children during the year in programs in total.
