I joined The Long Island Sled Hockey RoughRiders 3 years ago and it has brought back all of the memories and love I felt for the game of hockey I played before I became disabled. Bryan, Frank and the rest of the team since the very first day has made me feel like I am part of a family as well as a team. The structure of the organization is fantastic besides all of the outreach that they do for the community they offer amazing opportunities to their players and parents. I cannot say enough good things about this program, if you ever though you could not accomplish something in your life come out and watch the kids and adults play this amazing game and you will see that anything is possible just as long as you try. Thank you Bryan and the rest of the Long Island Sled Hockey RoughRiders, you truly have changed my life for the better.

My son has been a part of this program for 11 years now and it has changed our lives. The people that are involved are phenomenal. He has been disabled from birth and the roughriders allows him to play the game he loves. We have became a family with these people and we have spent some good times along the way. Thank you for everything Bryan.

My son has been playing sled hockey for many years with the program. It gives differently abled athletes of all ages and issues to be able to play a game they love and NEVER thought they would be able to play. They come off the ice all sweated and tired but you will NEVER see bigger smiles and their happiness to be able to play. The program is well run and the money that is raised goes to travel, equipment and other necessities of the game. If you or someone you know that is "differently abled" likes to play, come on down and see if you like it. No matter what the issue, if you want to play, we NEVER say NO and will find a way!!

We have been a part of this wonderful organization for 4 years. My son is a differently-abled athlete. I can not say enough good things about this organization not only has it given my son that team feeling it has also given all of us parents, grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends that same feeling. We are all in it together no matter what! The older athletes on the team show my son that he can still achieve his goals of independence regardless of the obstacles that lay ahead.

My son Chris and I have been part of this program for over 15 yrs. the reward of knowing your son or daughter can achieve much like any other athlete can achieve is priceless . This program not only gives my son Chris a way to play a sport he loves, but also enhances his socialization with his peers. Much credit to Long Island Sled. Hockey and its founders, for without them we would not have a pride in our young men and women that we have today. Larry g

This is a super group of kids who overcome their disabilities and love to compete at the highest level. Sled hockey gives them the opportunity that they otherwise would not have. It is wonderful to see the positive influence that it has on their lives
