Little Helping Hands teaches children about giving back in a fun environment. We assembled food for a pantry that gives to the working poor and the homeless. I believe it is so important for those who have to give back and it is never to young to understand this concept. We had a great time and plan to do it on a regular basis.

Hire more people to help the administrators take on more opportunities. Right now the volunteer demand exceeds supply but these two wonderful women can't be everywhere to oversee every project.
Little Helping Hands is a top notch organization. They offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for parents and children to do together. The website and sign up process are clear and concise. The volunteer activities are age appropriate, efficiently organized and show children that they can make a difference in our community despite their youth.

LHH is a fabulous way to help teach children from an early age that helping others is a rewarding experience. We just did our first LHH activity, and it was a fun afternoon for my daughter and me. We are looking forward to many more activities with LHH as we learn about ourselves and the world outside of our 4 walls.

easier to sign up for activites.
What a wonderful organization!! LHHs has been such a blessing to our family. It has given us the opportunity to volunteer as a family. I was so impressed with the management of th organization that we decided to include them in our annual charity giving.

This organization does a FABULOUS job of keeping the activities appropriate for children. There is nothing I would change.
My eight year old daughter and I volunteered through Little Helping Hands in Austin, Texas for the first time this weekend. What a rewarding experience! My daughter met some great kids and really enjoyed packaging baby formula for children in need. The volunteer coordinators are so organized and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome in the group. We plan to do many more community service projects through Little Helping Hands in the future!

This is a most wonderful organization! It's one-stop-shopping for finding great volunteering opportunities that you can do with your children... which are often very difficult to find. Our entire family always leaves an activity feeling better for having helped out our community.

None! Just hoping more and more volunteer opportunities will keep coming each month.
I have been a volunteer, along with my 6-year old son, with Little Helping Hands for one year. In a nutshell, Little Helping Hands coordinates and matches up families to volunteer activities in the Austin community that are age-appropriate for children.
What’s so great about this organization is that is instills in children at a very young age the importance of helping others and giving back to our communities. Currently, the organization coordinates about 20 activities a month, but the demand from parents is so great that the schedule for the next month (once posted) usually fills up within 12-24 hours, leaving many parents and children without an opportunity to participate. Additional funding would help support so many more volunteer activities (and help our community even more)!
I feel very passionately about this organization and highly recommend it to any parent who cares about the community and our environment, and to the children of those parents, who will hopefully grow up to follow in their footsteps with the same values!

My son is always excited to participate in community activities organized through LHH. In the past year, he and I (along with hundreds of other families) have participated in volunteer activities at Goodwill Greenworks, Caritas of Austin, Micah 6 Food Pantry, Elderhaven, Zilker Botanical Gardens, and Refugee Services of Austin, among many others.

Add more volunteer activities for families each month, but that would only be possible with more funding!
Our family is very grateful to have found LHH. We have been doing volunteer events with them for a year now and my children have learned so many valuable lessons about giving back and about how lucky they are. We have also learned a lot about our city as the events are in a different place each time. I had really missed volunteering like I had before I had kids. It was hard to take the time from them to get out to volunteer. LHH has allowed us all to volunteer together which is even more fulfilling than the volunteering I was doing alone.

I wouldn't change a thing!
It is very important to me to teach my children the importance of giving back to the community & helping others. Little Helping Hands has helped me communicate this message to my son. He is only three and we can already participate in volunteer activities together because of LHH! LHH makes giving back fun for the kids. It is really filling a huge need in our community.

Change nothing! It's great.
My family has participated in many volunteer oppportunities with Little Helping Hands. Without this organization, finding places for our children to volunteer would be difficult to do. I love that we are able to choose to from a variety of volunteer activities among many different non profits. This gives our kids a big exposure to all the different needs out there. The staff at LHH are all wonderful and are good with the kids. The organization from when you sign up, to all the reminder/informative emails, to when you arrive at the event and when you leave is outstanding. I would and have recommended this to others.
