The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

To soon for me to tell as I haven't been involved until recently

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

To soon to say

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Too soon to say...

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Too soon to say...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Build a working prototype of an all-electric Heim-type my design

Ways to make it better...

I would have known about them earlier.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

dealing with the "Powers that be" and/or the oil/rocket industrial complex

One thing I'd also say is that...

It takes a long time for change to happen in America as I have been forwarned and personally found out.

I first meet Charles and Mo on facebook. I have always been into sci fi media, Space and Earth travel. They started sending me great links, people, and ideas on how to learn more and contribute to the final frontier. I started watching Nasa tv on a regualr basis and learned more on all that goes into the different studies and people that go into the making of dreams. The Leeward Space Foundation continued my learning and growth in this field. I am still in the 1950's program but it has transformed my way of thought and I really owe a lot to all of them. The privitization of space but also the team of Nasa and all the countries different space agencies were much unknown to me. The Leeward people challenged me, and still do to seek, listen, question, and grow. They our a force in the force. They offer and give a gift that very few can. You probable need to want it but I always have and they have helped me come closer and closer to more great questions and hopefully answers. Thanks to the Leeward Space foundation for there inspiration to me and many others. Teaching our children well. Make a day dream beleiver.

For the last 40 years i have been active in many space advocacy organizations, as a volunteer and/or board member and/or officer, including L-5 Society, National Space Society (including several chapters), MSDC, CVSS, Oregon-L5, AIAA, amongst others. Whilst I continue to generally support those organizations, I have recently decided to focus my primary energy through Leeward Space Foundation. The leadership of LSF has incredible energy, enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude the like of which I have not encountered for a very long time. It is extremely refreshing to be working as part of such a dedicated and capable team. At last I am truly confident that we will take humanity's quest into space to the next level in my lifetime.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

LSF is actively supporting the 1st Puerto Rico Space Congress, of which I am chair.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

LSF has implemented most of the ideas I have suggested, I cannot think of any more right now.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Lightning fast decision making process, allows initiatives to proceeds at break-neck seed!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Brilliant!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

...make enormous strides in developing key technologies, such as the lunar elevator and space based solar power systems. LSF would perform detailed feasibility studies and proof of concept experiments, to rapidly advance the state of the art.

Ways to make it better...

...other space agencies and companies had been more supportive of Leeward Space Foundation.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

...lack of funding, lack of acceptance by established space research organizations.

One thing I'd also say is that...

LSF is very open minded, forward thinking, and results oriented. Your input is vital.

I am impressed and encouraged by the efforts of John Lee, and the Leeward Space Foundation. I have seen first-hand how he is making a difference. A lot of people talk about doing something, but at the end of the day, they usually don't do anything more than talk. Leeward is different. They are about action and activity and that really matters! I fully endorse them.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I couldn't do what I'm doing, without their direct and specific support - financial, emotional, and the network of other service professionals.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Excitement and willingness to embrace new projects and alternative ideas.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I've worked with John Lee directly. Also, I have had professional dealings with Charles Radley in another capacity. Both are smart, passionate and professional.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change Everything! Build an international program of chapters and outreach communities that understand that "space is the answer" to most of humanities 'down-to-Earth' problems. They'd build Elevators in Space and Energy systems for all.

Leeward Space Foundation is planning to establish an international system of local chapters to be know as “Space is the Answer” chapters. The purpose of establishing this network of local chapters is two fold. Firstly, the local chapters will support the mission of Leeward Space Foundation by promoting the idea that the development of space and space resources can provide many, if not all the answers to Mankind’s most pressing concerns. Most people know that Human Civilization faces some very difficult challenges ahead such as; climate change, industrial pollution, developing clean energy, eliminating poverty and many others, but few realize that there are permanent solutions to these problems to be found by developing nearby space resources. Secondly, the network of local chapters will help Leeward develop a Scholarship program for High School Seniors or equivalent and a separate scholarship for college level. Each local school or community chapter can sponsor a graduating senior or college student who will then present a paper to Leeward concerning how he believes developing space resources will provide an answer to a particular concern facing humanity. The best papers will earn their composers scholarship grants and will be published on http://www.Space-Is-The-Answer.Org We must make the next generation aware of the huge potential of space development, for they are the ones who will build the infrastructure that will grow Human Civilization out into the Solar System. The first year’s scholarships will be $1000, but plans are to grow the top scholarship to $10,000 and to offer four other lesser grants. The application process to become a “Space Is The Answer” local chapter is very easy: simply send an email to chapters@LeewardSpaceFoundation.Org with your location and the group to be represented. There are no national dues or donation requirements, though each chapter may charge local membership dues. Each chapter must actively participate in as many of Leeward Space Foundation’s fund raising activities as possible. The activities are listed at: http://www.LeewardSpaceFoundation.Org/id21.html.
