Programs:

We convene a number of forums, where each speaker has an equal opportunity to address the public and to answer their questions. These forums are about elected offices, ballot measures, legislation, social policy, and other community concerns. We produce education tools and training programs to encourage civic participation in these issues. Current priority issues include redistricting implementation and government reform; we also have information on health care, education, the state budget, climate change, water, transportation, and other issues.

I'm getting ready for my local election this November and Smart Voter is about the only place I can find good local election information. Thank you!

The League of Women Voters of California Education Fund always has the best and clearest nonpartisan election information. Smart Voter and now Voter's Edge California make it easy to learn about my ballot online so I can make informed decisions, especially for local races and measures.

I have used the nonpartisan Easy Voter Guide in five languages for years as my main outreach tool for my neighborhood voter registration and engagement efforts - the best and easiest ballot measure explanations around! I know the League scrupulously subjects the content through a community review process via the library then it's approved by the Legislative Analyst's office. I also love their new ballot measure videos from SeePolitical. Now they have merged SmartVoter with Voter's Edge so we can follow the money in elections. In a very partisan world, I know I can trust the League's resources to help me make informed decisions. www.cavotes.org

I depend on the League for unbiased, well researched and well thought out information. My aunt was very active in the League when I was young so as an adult I started reading their stands and they make so much sense. I appreciate the help in making educated choices. Now I've joined, but I haven't gotten to the point of being active yet. I would enjoy working on research and discussion if I had time.
