Lazarex Cancer Foundation is an unbelievable organization with an unbelievable staff of hard working and caring individuals committed to helping patients with little or no other choices. We recently started a relationship with Lazarex and it is our goal to help raise as much money as we can to assist in their goal of helping as many patients as possible. We have and still do work with many nonprofit organizations, but Lazarex stands above them all with their tireless work and dedication to their mission. I am extremely proud to be associated with the Lazarex Cancer Foundation!

The seeds for LAzarex were sown via our families effort to assist our son-in-law, Mike Miller, in his fight with pancreatic cancer. New medications were researched as were clinical trials to determine what was the best course of action for Mike. The plan that evolved did include both new medication and a clinical trial. Although Mike ultimately passed away the quality of his life was significantly improved and extended by one year through the program that evolved. This entire effort set the stage for Lazarex to be born as a non-profit company with exactly the same goals of financial assistance when needed, new medication research along with new clincal triials. Lazarex does bring"hope" to its clients and has grown to the point where it is assisting more and more clients to lead a better life. Your donation and /or becoming a volunteer will significantly helpLazarex in this effort.

After being told that conventional medecine was no longer effective in treating his deadly cancer (Ewing's Sarcoma),my son Scott Zenaro became a client/patient of the Lazarex Cancer Foundation who provided clinical trial treatment and financial assistance some 3000 miles from his home, which included his residential expense as well as some urgent medical scans, for 18 months. Then when these treatments ceased to improve his condition, Lazarex flew him to the Philippines, paid for his residence, medecine, daily clinical treatment, all doctor and nurse care, all numerous medical tests and scans (MRI,PET,CT,X-ray) for almost another year. Lazarex enabled him to lead a dignified "normal" life for almost two and one half years. These costs probably reached upwards of $200,000. which is extraordinary and unprecedented by any non-profit cancer organization in the world. This is the reason that my wife and I and our family are devoting so much energy in raising much needed funds for Lazarex to continue their good works for other needy cancer patients.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the generosity and expertise of Lazarex with my son Scott and in the almost daiy contact with it's staff in our fundraising efforts.

I have been involved with everyone at Lazarex for a few years now and am amazed at the pure love and dedication they have towards the people they are supporting who are going through very, very difficult times in their fight against cancer. I have the utmost respect for each individual at Lazarex and am honored to be a member of their team in the fight against cancer.

I have seen the great work being done by the people of Lazarex on a first hand basis. I have met some of the cancer patients they have assisted-- all of whom are overwhelmed by dealing with their illness and the financial burdens of treatment. Lazarex steps in to help with their financial burden and to assist in giving them the help they need to face their health issues with dignity and with hope. The staff and volunteers at Lazarex are truly dedicated to providing compassionate help to those suffering through cancer.

The Great!

During events that I participated in I met several of the patients that Lazarex had assisted in housing and travel to clinical trials. They all said they would not be alive if it were not for Lazarex giving them financial help during the time they were in the trials.

I have had the opportunity to meet and hear the life changing stories of patients that have benefitted from Lazarex Cancer Foundation. Seeing and hearing about the positive effects Lazarex has upon individuals and their families has been so inspiring and uplifting. Lazarex offers hope, dignity and precious time to end stage cancer patients. This is such a powerful gift to offer to somebody at the most difficult time of their life. Lazarex has inspired me to do whatever I can to assist them in continuing their noble cause. Keep going Lazarex....you guys are wonderful and help so many!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Lazarex runs a lean operation and is very essecient. I would not make any changes to the way their operation is run.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing the effects the gift of additional quality time with family and friends has for end stage cancer patients

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Enthuastic, hard working, dedicated and most of all fun to be around. You can see the staff and volunteers truely enjoy what they do!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Change the lives of many, many more deserving people! I think of the spouses and children that will have lifelong memories as a result of the extra quality time Lazarex provides end stage cancer patients.

Ways to make it better...

I could have done more to help Lazarex! I do what I can but wish I could do more!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

I think meeting fundraising goals in these tough economic times is a challenge for Lazarex.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I will continue to help out and assist Lazarex in any way that I can! Lazarex has a very noble goal and truely adds to the lives of many cancer patients and their families during the most difficult time of their lives.

I lost my mother to cancer. Se never was able to experience the joy of grandchildren. As a result, I am drawn to the work Lazarex does with late-stage cancer patients. Families and patients need hope, and the longer lifespans that Lazarex helps deliver give families meaningful hope. Even if the ultimate result is the same, the research that Lazarex supports helps future patients and families avoid desperate heartache.
