I have been fortunate enough to hear Maraleen Manos Jones speak about the butterflies and their habitat. She was so informative and entertaining, I was spell bound for the entire lecture.La Cruz habitat protection project has been a wonderful organization that I have supported in different ways. If the butterflies die, we all will die, so I think it is of tremendous importance that it continue and thrive.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

by hearing Maraleen Manos Jones and watching her videos on the migrations of the butterflies, so interesting sand informative.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

plant more trees, have more information in the schools so our children understand how important the butterflies are to our survival.

In today's world, when there are so many threats to the environment, it is very satisfying to know of the work of LCHPP. It is a holistic program touching the butterflies, the forest and the surrounding villagers. People, butterflies and forests, all benefit from the reforestaion project. It is important to tell the world that there are thousands of people who care passionately about saving the environment for these very special miracles of nature. Butterflies have a spiritual as well as a natural function in our lives. The butterflies must be protected and LCHPP is the best organization to lead this mission.

I have been a supporter of LCHPP's Forest for Monarchs project for many years, even though I have never visited that part of Mexico. I have followed their efforts and progress, and I think the project is very effectiveand addresses many of the problems of the area simultaneously. I also like that they keep costs low so that about 85% of the money they receive goes directly into planting more trees. The planet needs more trees, the poor people in the area need trees for many reasons and certainly the monarch butterflies need the trees for their habitat. I can honestly and wholeheartedly endorse this project.
