The family was absolutely astounded by the assistance and support they received from LRL. Originally I had heard about the organization from an old neighbor and although I never had any direct contact with them they were helpful to the people that I recommended to them. Truly an asset to the community.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The simple referral contact I made was one that left me as impressed as I've ever been with an organization.

My first exposure to LRL was during a discussion with one of the board members. When I asked why he became involved with this organization, the board member responded "it is an organization made up entirely of volunteers who help children with cancer...I can't think of anything I'd rather be involved with". This purely compassionate person says it all. Everyone in this organization has known a child with leukemia, and their purpose is to find a cure so not another child or another parent has to suffer with this illness. Our family friend's son was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2, and then again at age 6. Thankfully he is now a healthy 22 year old man. LRL has made it their business to fund the much needed research, with the hope of eradicating this illness.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My friend from childhood has a son who is a survivor, and a dear friend of her younger son is receiving treatment through LRL at present. We are forever grateful to LRL for making treatment possible.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Absolutely wonderful organization

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The incredible group of compassionate, generous people who make up this organiztion. This includes Board members, physicians, medical professionals, volunteers, and support staff.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All very devoted people who generously give of their time and energy.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Eradicate leukemia

Ways to make it better...

My experience was incredible..the fund raising event was spectacular

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The economy

One thing I'd also say is that...

LRL gives so many people, adults and children, hope for the future

I am from Dallas TX, I have attended the LRL "Evening of Hope" dinner dance and silent auction in MI for the past two years. Both years have been an absolutely wonderful experience. Most importantly, the people at LRL do a great job of not making people feel uncomfortable while raising money for kids with cancer. LRL is not pushy at all, they show everyone a good time, if you can donate that is great, if you can't they are genuinely happy to have you there for your support, as LRL understands that raising awareness is just as important as raising money. I have met some of the best doctors this country has to offer at this event, their continued support of LRL, to me, shows that the money raised is working. I think LRL does a wonderful job of raising money for Leukemia research, and I will continue to give them as much support as I can for as long as I can. Cancer touches every family in almost every part of the world in one way or another, organizations like LRL need more support. Our doctors need more support. In short, my experiences with LRL have been absolutely wonderful.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

How comfortable they make you feel. They are not pushy at all.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very friendly, I am from TX and most of these people remembered my name from the year before.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide many doctors with the funds they need for continued research.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months
