Kids beating cancer is a wonderful organization. Adele and Celilia are two great people you would ever meet. They are so wonderful to my daughter. Thank you for always keeping us in mind on the wonderful events that you have. My daughter has so much fun. Thank you Kids Beating Cancer - you have the biggest hearts!

As a parent to a child that had cancer. Kids Beating Cancer keeps my daughter involved in activities that they have.

Well there aren't many women like the ones I have the pleasure of working with every year around the holidays. My family volunteers with Kids Beating Cancer every Christmas for their annual celebration and every year we take home something special. Nothing material, but sentimental value that is priceless. Year around the ladies of KBC are out in the community raising awareness and recruiting donors for the national marrow registry. Not only that, but they are building bonds and changing lives of families that are affected by various health conditions. I am constantly inspired by their dedication and selfless commitment.

During one of the drives myself and a friend from work signed up for the national marrow registry.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Recruit more volunteers to be able to raise more awarness about the ease and importance of becoming a donor

Little did I know, what a life changing impact this organization would leave on my life. I started volunteering and as soon as I could step into the office, I realized the lives that I would help to be saving. This is a great non profit organization, and doing so with little help. I am gale to have ever worked with them.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would personally make this a larger scale non profit organization.

As I was looking foe internship I stumbled upon Kids Beating Cancer. I looked deeper into the organazation and fell in love with them. Their Mission statment is to increase access to treatment, identify & diversify the National Registry, fund uninsured expenses & provide support for our families. I knew right away I wanted to be part of this great organization. Helping children to continue living happy and healthy lives is where I want to help.

One of the hardest part to inform the community of this great organization is to promote. The only change I would make is to try and promote more to the community.

I signed up to be a summer intern at Kids Beating Cancer not knowing that this organization would have the impact on my life that it has. What drew me to the organization was that its mission was to help save the lives of children that are suffering with cancer. Specifically, it is an organization that helps patients in need of bone marrow transplants. It is rewarding to know that when I am helping at fundraising drives and donor recruitment drives that I am helping to save a life. I have been lucky enough to never have known anyone close to me suffer with cancer. I became so inspired after volunteering here that I signed up to be a bone marrow donor.

When KBC reaches their goals i.e recruiting a particular number of donors, establishing relationships with sponsors to help with funding.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would expand the capabilities of this organization. Due to limited staffing, it is difficult for staff and volunteers to reach out to the greater Central Florida area as often as they would like. Recruiting more volunteers would help the organization accomplish more events (donor recruitment events, fundraising drives, etc)

After having two bone marrow transplant, I wanted to give back and help with awareness. I met Adele about two years ago. They have a great organization and I have enjoyed learning from them. They are commented to the bone marrow registry. I look forward to doing more bone marrow drives with them.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

adding more people to the bone marrow registry.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

try to advertise more.

Wow where do I begin? My son was diagnosed with brain cancer almost 6 years ago. A volunteer from Kids Beating Cancer came to visit him after his surgery. We have had nothing but a positive experience with the organization. Everyone there is so warm and welcoming and they are always willing to help. It really made me feel good to know I had positive people on my son’s side cheering him to recovery.

Kids Beating Cancer is an amazing non-profit organization that uses bone marrow donations and umbilical cord blood transplants to help treat children with cancer and other life threatening diseases. Kids Beating Cancer hosts bone marrow donor drives throughout the community, to gain donors and increase awareness of the benefit of bone marrow donations. This organization also provides support for the children and families through fun seasonal themed parties, hospital visits that include a special teddy bear or blanket, and overall general support during these tough times.
I am currently an intern and volunteer at Kids Beating Cancer and have learned a lot by helping Adele and Cecilia get ready for bone marrow donor drives and through working at the drives. I enjoy the time I spend at the KBC office and am always looking forward to the next opportunity I have to inform someone that their donation could save a child's life.

The first donor I was able to register was a rewarding experience. It made it real; it showed me that this person was willing to help a child in need and give that child a second chance at life.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I feel that Kids Beating Cancer continues to exceed my expectations, as they bring joy and hope to many children and families as they are dealing with cancer and other life threatening diseases. The only thing I would change is to make more people aware of the amazing cause Kids Beating Cancer is supporting. Kids Beating Cancer is only as successful as the community support it receives, and the more people are aware of this organization, the better chance a child has at a cure and a second chance for life.

I am currently an intern at Kids Beating Cancer. Adele and Cecelia are two great preceptors and are always assigning us work to help out around the office. I have volunteered at a few drives already and am looking forward to helping out at more. I happy to be an intern at Kids Beating Cancer and am happy to be a part of such a great cause.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

promoting awareness about the bone marrow registry and the stories of the children who are a part of the KBC organization. It is rewarding to know someone has signed up to be a part of the registry simply from telling them what these children are going through and how simple it is to help.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

have more means of promotion

I have volunteered to help at a few drives that were very successful. I look forward to helping more in the future. Adele and Cecelia are great to work with and this is truly a great nonprofit. It is a challenge to get minority donors, but step by step we can all make it happen.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I heard many stories from people who were already on the registry as donors because they have relatives with sickle cell anemia.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
