Hey, the folks at KaBOOM! get playgrounds built and a lot more.
They have built nearly 2,000 playgrounds, raised $200 million and marshaled 100,000 volunteers throughout the country and internationally.

very fun organization but that works on an issue that without them no one focuses on PLAY!

Did a one day build--well organized, great community participation along side us corporate folks, all the tools and materials where on site and 300 volunteers where put to work seamlessly. I volunteer a lot and this was the best experience I've had and can't wait to do it again. Other non profits who manage volunteers should take note.
