The Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that operates to support Radio Scouting activities and is considered the amateur radio station for the Boy Scouts of America’s National Council. It is the trustee for the K2BSA call sign, supports Jamboree on the Air and other Scouting events, and operates at the National Scout Jamboree where it operates a demonstration station, teaches the Radio Merit Badge, conducts an ARDF---Foxhunting course, and other amateur radio activities during the course of the Jamboree.
Have recruited 50+ amateur radio operators for the National Scout Jamboree in 2013 at the Summit in West Virginia. Established key sponsorships of equipment for use at the Jamboree and following the Jamboree on a permanent basis.
Programs include call sign use for Scouting events, promotion of all Radio Scouting activities via website and social media, active leadership and financial support for the amateur radio activities at the National Scout Jamboree.

Reviews for K2BSA Amateur Radio Association
As an Amateur Radio Operator, ARRL Volunteer Official, and lifetime Scouter, I have witnessed the tremendous number of young people that the K2BSA Amateur Radio Association has introduced to Amateur Radio. By it's support of the Radio Scouting program, it's fair to say that no other organization has done more to promote our hobby to youth.
The operation is totally volunteer run with no paid staff. It also has successfully worked with manufacturers to get them to donate or loan equipment and supplies to further these efforts. Donations are carefully tracked and monitored.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Encourage more Ham Radio Operators to support it!
Would you volunteer for this group again?
For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?
Did the organization use your time wisely?
Would you recommend this group to a friend?
