The JCHC is truly a gift of the people of Tampa Bay to the people of Tampa Bay, Serving the medically indigent, the working poor---those who cannot afford health insurance, it offers hope, and healing. Volunteer doctors, nurses pharmacists and other medical professionals give their time and knowledge, and services are donated by organizations throughout the community. Last year over 35,000 patient visits were served. It truly is a haven for those lost in the health care system

JCHC provides free health care to the working poor. Patients served at JCHC have no health insurance and lack funds to pay for health care and do not qualify for other health care programs. Last year, more than 35,000 patient visits were attended by many doctors, nurses, techs, pharmacists, and other volunteers. Many people in our communitiy do not know of the good work this clinic provides daily to our neighbors, and has for over 40 years! Please pass on the Judeo Christian Health Clinic story, volunteer, support, and become involved if you can.

The Judeo Christian Health clinic fills a very necessary void in our health care system. With love and compassion, it opens it's doors to the working poor who want to take care of their families, but can't afford the extras, which these days included their health care. As a board member I am able to see how carefully donations are spent to supply medical care, prescriptions, and dental care just to name a few. It is a godsend to our community, one that pays its bills through the generosity of those who believe in it's cause, not through government assistance. It is a shining example of what should be available to those in need across our country.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

by seeing the care that is provided to those in need on a regular basis. I am also a journalist, and put together a video for the clinic from my board member position so I was able to witness first hand the work being done by the Doctors and volunteers.

The Judeo Christian Health Clinic is a remarkable organization whose mission is to help those who have nowhere else to go for their medical needs. In all my time volunteering there, I have been constantly amazed by the passion of every volunteer and staff member to do their best to provide for the total well being of the patients, as well as their genuine caring and concern for others. I can truly say that being able to volunteer there has been a blessing as it has shown me that there are still many wonderful people in the world.

Well I had nosebleeds often, I didn't have a medical insurance so I visited JCHC. It was not only one appointment, JCHC helped me to get a diagnose about what was wrong with me. They got me an MRI which showed a tumor and I needed brain surgery.JCHC helped me to get the Doctors, Donald Smith, Douglas Klotch, Pamela Baines. I had 4 surgeries, 2 right on top of my forehead [60 staples] and 2 on my face [48 stitches] . Furthermore JCHC helped me with a radiation treatment. All this ongoing for 2 years. And I only have words of gratitude to the the staff and to their noble hearts.

Judeo Christian Health Clinic is an amazing establishment, not only is the purpose of the clinic flawless but the people are always supportive and welcoming. I have worked with the clinic for about ten months and have witnessed countless lives touched my the hands of the clinic. We are able to help to many people that would otherwise have no access to medical attention, which is something truly special in itself.

The Judeo Christioan Clinic was the first real medical experience that I had as a premed student. I was first involved as an interpreter/help with whatever was needed, and I did that for a little over 4 years. Then I became a medical student and I have been helping see patients there this last year. This clinic and its goals have been one of the main drivers in my desire to become a primary care physician. I have had the privileged to work with under represented and under served minorities and I have been able to see, first hand, the difference that we are making in these patients lives. Everything from lifestyle changes, BP/glucose maintenance to cancer treatment and surgeries, have been offered to our patients thanks to the gracefulness of our volunteers and of our great donors. I have been able to learn a lot about what medicine is like, the many health disparities present in our community, the huge impact that primary care/lack of has on patients, and I have been able to see the results and improvements that come about when physicians, nurses, social workers, and people in our community volunteer for the benefit of others.

the overall impact that it has on patients health. I have volunteered and seen the changes and improvements on the patients I have helped, as well as from a personal point of view I have seen the great help that this clinic has provided my family with.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Try to expand it so that the waiting times were shorter for patients, but that would require more help from all sorts of volunteers.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The feedback and gratitude that the patients give us.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

exceptional. They were personable, candid, caring, smart, giving, great mentors and teachers.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand the coverage to many more patients that need assistance still. Provide shorter waiting times for exams, follow-up visits.

Ways to make it better...

No changes.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Sometimes it could have used a few more volunteers, but the ones that are present always come through.

This marvelous group provides medical treatment to the working poor- the ones who work for low wages but barely make ends meet. The staff and medical volunteers are hard working, diligent, caring, and life savers in many cases. The world is a better place because of this vital organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have seen people who literally would have died had they not received treatment at the Judeo Christian Clinic. The working poor have limited options in our community.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

If funding permitted, I would hire a nurse practitioner and a dentist for at least one day a week. We could see so many more patients!!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Working with the staff and the other vounteers.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Lovely and generous to a fault.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Treat thousands and thousands more patients.

Ways to make it better...

I had more file cabinet - we only have donated cabinets and we don't have enough.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Limited supply of money and volunteers.

One thing I'd also say is that...

My life is richer for having had this volunteer experience. I think I am giving, but I am actually getting far more.

The JCC assists more people in the Tampa Bay area than one can imagine. The very best health care professionals give their time & talent to those of all and in need. The patients not only receive quality care, but they are taken care of with compassion. It heals not only the physically ill, but touches the spirit of those receiving as well as those giving. The clinic is not only the largest and most comprehensive free clinic in the Southeastern United States, but a true blessing in our community. We are all very proud to be associated with this facility that should be a role model for other clinics. country.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the returning patients that have been coming for years & are openly grateful for the care they receive. The best is when the patients volunteer to help the clinic!!!!
