JobTrain is an amazing organization, they do so much for so many people. And it's all free for the clients. When they walk through the door, JobTrain helps them figure out how to get meaningful jobs, based on their skills and interests. The vocational classes are exceptional and the job counselors really understand how to support the whole person - providing transportation help, financial and legal counseling, child care, and wellness.
Providing opportunities to chase your dream and get back on your feet has been the JobTrain mission for 51 years. This organization has been helping to transform lives since 1965. I am a home-grown tomato and I owe much to JobTrain. After graduating from one of JobTrain's training programs, I was hired as a member of the staff. I help provide opportunities to those most in need, because someone once did it for me.
I love JobTrain! They offer qualify training and other supportive services to the community. They are committed to helping unprivileged populations and those who are lacking basic skills. They are experts in their fields of training and they have a large group of employers who support their efforts and hire their graduates. If you have not stopped into JobTrain-- please do and see all the wonderful services and training they offer!
JobTrain is great organization committed to helping those most in need. They offer many supplemental services that benefit the whole community. JobTrain has excellent instructors, career advisors, and other administrative staff. They have many employer connections and they help match students with the right training path for them.
If you are looking for an employment opportunity, GO TO JOBTRAIN. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
JobTrain is an exceptional organization that trains students in an "on-the-job" modality that truly prepares them for today's workforce. Not only are the classes relevant and up-to-date, but JobTrain also has great supportive services : Lifeskills and Job Readiness modules, resume development, partners like EDD, the "Single Stop" that can help you with many personal issues from financial literacy to childcare help -and much more. My experience with JobTrain is that no matter how tough the situation one is in can be, this place can always make it possible to overcome and move forward!

Success leads to success. I have seen people move from individuals who have not known success in their lives to people who now have jobs and who are moving into careers. The environment at JobTrain is one that helps people become successful where that are at, and then teaches them how to build upon their success.

Still completing my first year working at JobTrain, and very happy to be here! Having worked in nonprofit management both nationally and globally, I have brought fresh eyes and critical thinking to my role as COO here. My own research of outcome measures showed JobTrain to be a top performer both regionally and at the national level. I wanted to see what makes an organization like this tick. Fifty years of focus and innovation have made JobTrain a leader and throughout it all the organization strives to treat everyone with dignity and respect. There is a “can do” spirit here that we all work very hard at making as infectious as possible. Success breeds success so our programs are designed to meet people where they are at, help them achieve initial successes, and then build on that success to help them change their lives. For many people, success has been elusive in their lives but once here in this world where success is designed to be contagious, they suddenly see that new beginnings are possible. All of this makes it a joy for me to come to work each day as we consistently strategize to seek innovative ways of breaking the cycle of poverty.
Great organization with a friendly vibe.
There is a person who answers the main phone line-not a robot.
The staff treat you like a person- not a number.
They help people launch new careers- not just a job.
JobTrain is an invaluable resource for those who often find themselves with few or no resources to speak of throughout the Bay Area. JobTrain is not just a vocational training facility (although it does that remarkably well!) - it also works hard to help people every step of their way on personal and professional journeys. From childcare, to procuring a professional wardrobe, to obtaining other critical resources, JobTrain is a "one-stop shopping center" for success where the only currency you need is the desire to improve your life!
I had been at a company for 5 years my position was no longer available. I couldn't find a job and decided to update my skills here at JobTrain. With the skills gained at Jobrain I was able get a job here at JobTrain I am a home grown tomato as they say :) . Jobtrain is an organization that helps people make changes to improve themselves. I have been at this company for two years now and can honestly say it is a great place to work everyone is friendly and has the same goal of helping those most in need to succeed.
