Jewish World Watch is truly an amazing organization. Not only are their ideas innovative but they truly are effective. All projects are huge successes. They provide a model for how to run other non-profits. They are organized, helpful, open to all ideas and all around great to be part of. I appreciate all the amazing work that they do!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their commitment to end genocide around the world. Ending genocide is a personal obligation of all people from all places and they have not only taken on that huge responsibility but have succeeded in helping thousands of refugees.

JWW is the best! They've helped set up and continue the success of the Darfur Awareness and Activism Training club at my school. We couldn't have done it without them. JWW has the most compassionate and respectful team of workers I've ever met. They're positive attitude towards young activists is unparalleled.

My experience with JWW has been incredibly informative and life changing. When i was in middle school, they made me care about the situation in sudan, with all of their programs and advocacy groups. not only did they teach us about Darfur, but they taught us about genocide, and slavery. they intrigued me, so now i am helping the cause. i really think that they have made an impact in the community, and helped the alleviate the situation for the refugees.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

still accomplish the same mission. although 10 million dollars could open up many pathways, JWW knows that money won't solve the problem. as a volunteer, they tell me to advocate and educate before i fundraise.

Every encounter with Jewish World Watch has been successful, rewarding, and pleasant. Every call I made was recieved by an eager staff member who anwsered every single question and was happy to do it. Anythign I needed, they helped me with and gave me feedback. The most importnat thing is they didn't wait for me to suddenly realize I'm capable of coming up with a project and going through with it. Instead, Ari,one of the staff members asked me if I wanted to start a project an djust liek that, it began, and escalated into plans for a full blown art show with a Darfur theme. All I can say is, without Jewish World Watch, lots of teens would be totally unaware of what is happenign in Darfur!

I have never met such an amazing organization that places so much importance on involving students. Just yesterday I had a half hour phone conversation with a staff member who wanted to know every detail of the Genocide Awareness Week our club is planning at school. Jewish World Watch supplies kids who want to change the world with the support and tools they need to do so. Thank you Jewish World Watch!!

Jewish World Watch is a fantastic organization. As a high school student and president of an anti-genocide club at my school, JWW has reached out to our club to help in every way possible and to enrich the club experience for all the students at our campus. Their coordinators have always reached out to us, come out to speak, and help get our students involved in outside events as well as assist us in planning our own. JWW has put on the Darfur Walk, which was a very educational and moving event. Not being Jewish is not a problem; JWW is very accepting of all religions. This organization demonstrates that people of all backgrounds can come together to help a cause.

I've had the opportunity of working with Jewish World Watch through my high school. I have been educated about injustice all over the world, and have done hands-on work to try to help stop these things from happening. I have learned how to advocate for refugee relief in Darfur, and have contributed to various projects that JWW has started to raise funds. JWW has helped me learn to be a better speaker, advocate, fundraiser and activist.

I think Jewish World Watch is the most amazing Jewish organization that I have ever had the privelege of working with. Jewish World Watch has mobilized thousands of Jews and non-Jews on a grass roots basis to take responsibility to fight against genocide and other egregious violatoins of human rights, no matter who the victims are. Since the holocaust, Jews have asked how the world could have been so silent while 6 million of our people were murdered. Given our disappointment with the world's response to Hitler's evil, we now must set the example and the standard of how decent, caring human beings should respond to evil in the world. We have raised the awareness of tens of thousands of people to the genocide in Darfur, and we have mobilized the Jewish community of Southern California to build political will against genocide. We have also provided millions of dollars of relief to the refugees in the camps. Now we are beginning to mobilize about the horrors that are taking place in Congo. This organization brings the lessons of the Torah to life. I am proud to have co-founded Jewish World Watch with the great Rabbi Harold Schulweis, and am proud every day of my life to be engaged in this holy work and to motivate others to engage with us!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

visiting the Darfuri reguee camps and seeing the difference that our JWW projects made in the daily life of Darfuri refugees. From vegetable gardens, to solar cooking to medical clinics and beyond, we have made a huge impact and I saw it with my own eyes

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

mobilizing the southern California Jewish community and beyond to fight the genocide in Darfur. Before our formation, no one in LA had any awareness of this tragedy, and now the entire community is mobilized. That is extremely gratifying.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

completely amazing. WIth almsot all of the synagogues in LA, Orange and Ventura counties being members of JWW, I have met a wide array of rabbis and lay leaders--orth,conserv. and reform. They are amazing people and I am enriched by these relationships.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

organize other communities the way we have organized the greater LA area, thereby enlarging the Jewish commitment to the anti-genocide movement in this country. And, we could provide relief to many more thousands of genocide survivors.

I first became aware of JWW when Janice Kamenir-Reznik spoke about her trip to the refugee camps in Chad back in 2007. I was so moved by her efforts, her raw emotion and her spirit that I knew I had to be involved. I worked with my community to get them involved in the work of JWW. We have joined the Walk for Darfur 2 years in a row, plus some of their other events. They range from academic to thought-provoking to just plain fun. Plus, the pieces they put out for Pesach and Rosh Hashanah are beautiful and interesting. I look forward to getting more involved in the future.
