I have been involved with Jewish World Watch since it's inception and it has never strayed from its mission of helping the victims of genocide and keeping the world aware to try to stop genocides from happening. The founders and volunteers are very dedicated. They have trained speakers to spread the message. They have formed training programs for youth to encourage young people to care about the world outside of themselves. Their successes are measurable in the lives of women who have been saved from rape and starvation, with the Solar Cooker Project. Their newer projects (Greywater Use, and Backpack Projects) will continue to improve the lives and care for these victims of terrible crimes all over the world.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting the caring people at all levels. Seeing Bar and Bat Mitzvah students get involved in helping people across the world.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very professional, committed and eager to help.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make a bigger difference in the lives of the refugees of genocide in Darfur and Congo, and elsewhere in the world.

Jewish World Watch has made a difference. It has made a difference in the lives of the people who have been involved with it in Los Angeles and particularly the San Fernando Valley. And it has made a difference for the people in the refugee camps in Chad. Raising money for the Solar Cooker Project is an inspiring example. People will give money for a specific project, and it is easy to see what a change it brings. I care personally about violence against women. Solar Cookers reduce the opportunity for that violence, as well as making it possible for women to manufacture the cookers, and train others how to use them. I feel personally committed, involved and rewarded through my work with Jewish World Watch.

I have not personally experienced the results of this organization, but those who have visited the refugee camps report back on conversations with women who have experienced untold horrors but are rejuvenated by JWW's help

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The knowledge that my efforts are making a difference, particularly for women half a world away.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The staff is the best. Totally extraordinary, and committed. The Volunteer leadership is as good as I've ever found it, and I have been involved in many, many organizations over the years.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Devote its efforts to its mission--education and advocacy on behalf of those who have suffered egregious human rights violations, and not have to expend energy on fund raising!

Jewish World Watch is simply one of the most important organizations of our time. JWW is dedicated to eliminating genocide from the World. It's dedicated Founders and Members work tirelessly to combat genocide in Countries such as Darfur, Sudan and others across the Globe. It is imperative that this organization is funded and participated by everyone recognizing the inhumanity and human suffering affecting specific areas in the World and the realistic threat of this plague threating us all.

We have been involved with JWW for about 5 years and till this day we are in awe of how hard their staff works and how dedicated they are to helping people. We have been very impressed over the last few years at the multitude of projects that JWW works on; the backpack project, solar cooker project, sister schools project, recycled water gardens project, the walk for Darfur, water wells and medical clinics, the Congo and of course a project they take very seriously, educating the world. We hope to be involved with helping JWW for many years to come.

The staff are all very dedicated and eager to help. They are kind, hard working, and all great at what they do. It is not a job to them, it is their life. It is people like them that make the world a better place.

I have been active with this orgnization for about 5 years. I am consistently amazed at what such a small group is able to accomplish, the joint activities with other large international organizations, and the benefits we have been able to provide the Darfuri refugees. just the life saving from the Solar Cooker Project alone is awesome. I never pass up a chance to talk about this group and its mission and accomplishments. It is an honor to work with so many very impressive people.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Increased awareness of the genocidal situation in Darfur and other parts of Africa; decreased harm to women and girls seeking cooking fuel from the refugee camps; educational opportunities for children in camps; pressure on politicians and diplomats.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Hire all the current staff because in spite of all the groups that I have run, I couldn't do the job they are doing.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing the concrete results of our efforts.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Executive Director, Founders, Research Director, office staff.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Provide solar cookers to most of Africa, launch a national publicity campaign.

Ways to make it better...

I took more time to understand all the activities the organization is doiing - I'm just too busy.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The economy keeping donations down. And that criminal who runs Sudan.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I have never met so many absolutely awesome women in one place in my life. It is a privilege to work with them.

I have been a synagogue liason for Jewish World Watch for the past year. My decision to align myself with this organization was inspired by their commitment to work diligently on behalf of the people of the world who are faced with injustice, intolerable oppression and genocide. The creation of the "solar cooker" program as well as the constructing of water wells, school backpacks and medical assistance has possitvely effected the lives of tens of thousands. They live each day according to there mission "DO NOT STAND IDLY BY"

Jewish World Watch has developed numerous programs to aid the people suffering in Darfur, from the Solar Cooker Project that gave the women solar cookers so they could stay in their camps and not risk being raped when they'd go get wood for a cooking fire, to the backpack project and starting schools for the kids living in the camps,to local youth activist programs and many fundraisers such as the Walk for Darfur all over Los Angeles and nearby counties. They are now also helping the dire situation in Congo. These people are tirelesss activists who work hard and effectively to end genocide and aid the survivors in that part of the world.

I produced the Save Darfur Concert in Los Angeles on 9.15.09 and Ari Averbach and JWW were a class act. Ari gave me guidance and help with the planning and then was inspiring and motivational with his presence and involvement with the event. Many of the attendees to the even were excited about joining the global activist cause because of the good work that does in Chad and Darfur.

JWW is an excellent organization. They have been most cooperative in sending presenters to speak at our Temple Akiba, at our home for a Hadassah meeting, and locally for our Culver City Lions Club. The employees are so dedicated to the goals of the organization, their spirit is contagious. Certainly saving lives in Darfur with supportive self reliance projects is worth contributing to.

I fell into the hands Of Jewish World Watch by accident. I have now volunteered with this organization for over 3 years. Their desire to make a difference is passionate, true to their mission statement. They WILL and they ARE making a difference in Darfur and now the Congo and Burma will benefit from this amazing organization.
