Think of all the Jews – plus their family members, and spiritual seekers – who want to connect with Jewish life and community, or explore Jewish identity, but cannot find a comfortable way to do so. They may not know much about Judaism. They may fear being judged, bored, or told what to do. They may not have found groups, activities, and personal connections that work for them. Jewish Gateways welcomes all those who want to explore Jewish life at their own pace, in an open environment. We help them discover Jewish choices that are right for them and find or make their place within the broader Jewish community.

Reviews for Jewish Gateways

Jewish Gateways is an answer to key questions facing the Jewish community. How can Judaism flourish in contemporary society? Jewish Gateways proves that amidst complex family heritages and changing communities, Jews can come together to learn, enjoy tradition and be enriched by the diverse paths that have drawn each participant into the room. As a child of intermarriage, I have felt warmly welcomed by Rabbi Bridget, and been encouraged to deepen my learning, embrace Jewish tradition with all its complexities, and even invite my friends (many also of intermarried backgrounds) to do the same!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Set up events and shabbats all over, develop special relationships with Synagogue and minyan welcome committees to facilitate joining, have generational programs (like a young adult program)!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months
