I became a board member after Jewish Family Services helped me with my mom, when she came to live with me. She was wheelchair bound, partially blind and had dementia. I needed to know I was doing everything the county offered to help me take care of her. I went to Jewish Family Services, who assured me I had taken advantage of the county services. They recommended that someone visit her on a regular basis. They paired her up with different volunteers, who were fantastic.

I have donated my time to conduct several seminars for Jewish Family Services over the years ... and it is always a pleasure. JFS takes an active role in trying to teach managers and supervisors how they can build better workplace relationships with their employees and helping businesses succeed. JFS has also strived to assist those people who are looking for work in these tough economic times by provding them with trainnig on how to search for jobs, interview, draft resumes and so on. Jewish Family Services takes an extremely active role in helping the people and the businesses of central Ohio be more successful. JFS is a great asset to our community and I am proud to conduct training sessions for them whenever they want.

I have seen companies build much more positive environments, which means more productive and healthier organizations, through the efforts of JFS. I have also seen people who were unemployed use JFS' services and find work. VERY rewarding.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
JFS is absolutely genuine in trying to help the community. JFS has a selfless attitude and a constant desire to better and help others, which is a breath of fresh air. Whenever I volunteer to work with JFS I FEEL ENERGIZED! I love it when they call me.
