We exist to provide horseback riding & related equine activities to special needs children & adults with our carefully selected horses & ponies. Jacobs' Ladder is a volunteer-led & driven organization. Individuals with developmental delays, physical & emotional challenges are encouraged to reach new goals & succeed in their attempts to better themselves.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the eyes of the children & adults who ride our horses; the smiles they exhibit; the goals they set & accomplish.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

attempt to grow it some more by obtaining another certified instructor & physical therapist; putting up a covered arena, so that weather issues don't disrupt services.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that is encompasses my entire life; the horses, who require my daily attention, the clients I serve, as well as their families - who all become part of our family at Jacobs' Ladder.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

generous, kind & very compassionate in their dealings with the horses & the clients served.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

purchase additional property, which is available, to build an entire community to employ, entertain & house special needs members of the community. This community would not only provide therapeutic horseback riding, but other recreational facilities.

Ways to make it better...

money were not an object & additional services could be provided by adding paid staff; putting up a covered arena & making improvements to the property.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lack of funds to employ staff to assist in the growth of the facility to the next level of excellence.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Jacobs' Ladder is currently small in size, but has the potential for so much growth. The need is great, the people are ready & our hearts are willing. Please help us as we help others!
